  1. Try living in NW Highlands, I recently drove 1400 mile round trip to pick up an E Class, if I'd driven another 10 miles I'd have been on a Ferry to Francais Was it worth it ............... Hell Yeah, an overnighter drive, a few hours work and £75 parts to fix it, guy had given up as no one else who tried could fix it, I paid pennies for the 2011 E Wagon
  2. Hi and welcome from the sunny NW Heilan Hame, a pleasant change from the usual shit noob posts
  3. To me this is a double edged sword lol ................... I don't take Cards, so it won't happen to me, but when purchasing goods that could be hassle right off the bat I will use my credit card, things like Electronic Goods etc. I recently bought a TV from Currys PC World, didn't work out the box, they insisted I drove 120 miles round trip to return for exchange, when I got to the store the twunt would not refund the fuel cost, and also did not have one the same, so insisted I paid extra for upgrade version. I left the broken item, walked out after telling him he was a cocksucker and a few other choice words ............. Sec 75 .................. Full Refund Kerrrrching.
  4. /\ /\ /\ Me too, I don't take Cards full stop !! Bank Transfer, Cash or Paypal F&F here. I prefer BT. As I know 99.5 % of my customers there is no problem, a new local customer pays Cash or BT before collection, after that I'll let 'em go and pay when they get home, they always do Not tourist obviously they pay cash or BT before collection
  5. Glad it all turned out good
  6. Since I bought the Battery Drills, Battery Impact Wrenches etc the only thing I didn't have was the Ratchet, so it made sense I bought the Right Angle Drill a while back, fuck me that thing gets used far more than you'd expect, I've even used it to run screws in in a tight space rather than a stubby Screwdriver I must confess, if doing a small job, they do get used more than the Air ones, even though I have retractable reel Airlines on the walls I can't be arsed to drag 'em out and trip over 'em for say just a Brake Pad change etc etc Besides which, I've always said, you've always gotta owe Snap On at least £100 on RA then it keeps him keen to keep comin' back Don't buy Snap On on their EC Finance tho, you'd get a better interest rate off a loan shark I know what you're thinking of :- https://cdn1.cartoonpornvideos.com/0439/21945/trailer.mp4?nvb=20190419093828&nva=20190517041828&hash=044c8c6d1ec6bc1ec0500 Need an Airline for that tho
  7. You and me both, although I quite like them as Workshop Customers
  8. I was never in, and now I'm also out
  9. That is normal for most Engines since CAT's were fitted in the early nineties, most temperature gauges in the clusters read a little lower than the real value in the ECU to stop the general public being terrified by how hot they really run Not like the good old days when Engines ran at 72 - 80 c
  10. Water Pump ................... There you go I remember all the V12 Pumps I used to do way back, in those days Jaguar would actually sell us a kit to rebuild them Jaguar Vee Engines and fucked Water Pumps go hand in hand................ It is when the stupid drivers run them low on Coolant leaking from the Pump that they end up with Heads etc, like all Engines, they don't like getting hot !!
  11. You have no idea how right you are ................ 57 year old big kid here
  12. Yes, definitely deal with anything yourself !! Always RTB
  13. No proberlermo, I am a man of my word /\ /\ /\ LIKE
  14. I've just sent you 2 million quid back, it appears that I didn't get it
  15. I'm sorry but I speak as I find ......................... I have been with Santander for over 20 years now. They have been perfect, absolutely brilliant and much better than Nat West that Mel banks with, and others that I have banked with many moons ago. Santander are instant, 90% of my takings are Bank Transfer and it is in there instantly, definitely well under a half hour ................... If anyone thinks I'm bullshitting lets test it today, I'll PM you my Sort Code and A/c number, send me a random amount of buttons between 1 and 2 quid, and within minutes I'll tell you how much exactly that it was !! If I can do that I get to keep it, if I can't I'll send it back double once it has arrived Anyone up for a bit o' craic ??
  16. Personally, I'd leave it until Thursday, then I'd be going to get the Car back !! A lot of Banks just use the "4 days" as a get out of jail free, like I say, in reality with my Santander A/c I have customers transferring to me on their phones whist in the office, and by the time I've logged in the money is there I had quite a few much bigger transfers than the £44 from my neighbour done around that time and they all went in ............... I'm not a gambler either, but especially after what his bank said this morning I'll bet it is RBS / Nat West
  17. Hi, My neighbour is here now, he's got his money back, his bank admitted they have had a software problem and it sent the money to the wrong account !!
  18. Now that is too much of a coincidence, RBS and Nat West are from the same group, and you and I, (the recipients), are both Santander !! I reckon RBS / Nat West have a glitch that they aren't admitting !!
  19. I prefer the old avatar as I can actually see the resemblance .........................
  20. Mine normally takes minutes ....................... That said, for the first time ever, I had one go missing over Easter, my neighbour, £44 for a couple of parts I got him, did it Thurs before Easter, eventually by Wed after Easter it still wasn't in, his bank told him it had gone elsewhere, he only has me on his transfer list, they told him he will have to wait to get his money back, they re did my transfer, which went in within minutes, not sure how he's got on to recover his money tho, will ask when I see him .................... His was RBS , mine Santander
