And "not only but also, come 'ere there's more" ...................... Pay Pal often hold the money for a week or so, by which time the scrote has opened a dispute for a refund !! Anyone who can do Pay Pal can do a Bank Transfer, even if it is set up over the phone, my 86 year old mother in law can do BT's over the phone !! We found that out when we discovered she has been sending silly amounts to one of the scamming lazy unemployed arse holes from "the other side" of Mels family 101% Scam !!

Changing a Naff Private Plate Back to Original Year Plate
Dave2302 replied to MJG50's topic in General Dealer Chat
Agreed, much easier on line, I remember my first one waaaaaay back at LVLO Sidcup, 2 bloody trips back home to Gravesend because there was this paperwork missing, that paperwork etc LOL, you'd be surprised what some folk will pay for PP's even naff ones All of mine have been bough off DVLA sub £400 and they are all nice plates, DVLA T'Fer fee included too. -
Hi, Thanks, I bought a Lazulith Blue one in December these cars are a lovely little retro rocket for very little money. V6 and V8 MB's are all on the up price wise now, if I were you with that low mileage I'd sit on it for a while, only downside is Silver lol, but one mans poison etc

I can see the Retail Advert ..................... 1 previous owner, now deceased, Mr Wally Russ who had an unfortunate incident with a roll of 80 grit and a Roman Candle ...................................

I was really referring to noobie numpties, but as usual I engaged type before brain What I was trying to say was that retail back is a good way of learning without too many fuck ups. I'm fairly sure you have been in this game long enough now to know what you are prepared to pay for a given Automobile, my 43 year apprenticeship can do the math off the cuff without looking at retails, but if it's something oddball, I'll refer to what I think it'll retail for and work back Like my recent 2007 Doblo Wheelchair Wagon, non runner that I flipped recently. When the owner offered it me I didn't have a clue, but 10 minutes and it was sussed out It did help that I knew exactly who would buy it once I'd sorted it and prepped it, and they did Basically I wanna nick the "whatever" off it's seller or I can't be arsed, comes back to what I've said before about busy fool syndrome lol
-
/\ /\ /\ agreed Also ................ I cannot believe the number of numpties that are selling Cars these days, and do not realise that the only way to buy a Car for resale is to work backwards from (a sensible) amount that you can Retail it for. No wonder there are so many noobs on here moaning that they are not getting decent profits.

LOL @TangoVictor32 I am happy not to have a stupid bit of paper, it takes much less time to look up on line than search through a briefcase of V5's with MOT "Certs" attached Also any spotty kid with a pooter and printer could create his own (un registered with VOSA) MOT within 5 minutes, much better digital IMHO

Yep, I bought a "sniffer" way back, used it then but don't do many Head Jobs these days I think Head Gasket technology has actually improved since the 80's / 90's, either that or its so cold up here that the bastards never overheat Nearly had one last week, but turned out to be just an Airlock (1.4 207 Pug)................ It had had a T/Stat at a "lesser" Garage who obviously didn't bleed the little bastard correctly -
Which is exactly why we now have MTD, and why there is far less chance of getting nicked for speeding by a real copper these days :wink

Dave2302 replied to Dave2302's topic in General Dealer Chat
I got a lovely Bright Green Man Bag with the 1/2" Impact matches my Green box, but that Impact was around 500 sovereigns IIRC I have been buying Snap On since I was 16 I do have a Battery DeWalt Drill and Angle Grinder tho, but being as anal as I am I'll probably replace them with Snap On at some point I used to have all Snap On Lifts at our Gearbox Firm, and wouldn't employ a Fitter once because he hadn't got a Snap On Cab, a week after that my partner being the jovial little fucker that he was went and bought a new MAC Cab while I was off on holiday I love this Forum because someone always makes me reminisce, fuck me they were the good old days -

There you go, especially for you sir Yes, I do that a lot ............. When I bought the Battery Ratchet last week, it should have been £268 for Body and Battery, so I told him it was a sale at £250 and gave him my Card, he didn't refuse
