Have you tried using a clay mit/glove yet James? Just about to run out of clay bar and was tempted to try one to see if it was a but quicker

I bought a £50 dual action from argos with some cheap foam pads from ebay, it's on death's door as the motors about ready to die after 8 months of abuse but it's a great starting point. Meguires make some awesome microfibre machine polishing pads too, expensive but work great.

My Brother's got them in his new Ranger Raptor, more for function over looks. They do a better job at keeping muck off the floor than normal floor mats. They do look a bit tasteless though....

Best of luck Bimbo, consider buying the £10 ebook from the forum for more advice, well worth a read and great to reference back to!!!

Always done well with bmws and Audis, I think whatever you buy it could be crap, just luck of the draw really.

I've had a 1 series m sport in since early December..... Its been here so long it's decided to throw a wobbly and start over heating. Goes back into the garage next week to have another MOT, then fresh detail, new pics and new description and back up at full price. Lowering the price doesn't always work, we ended up knocked 1k off the retail value and it just attracted even more lowballers that were unrealistic.

People will travel for the right car, I've had people come from Dorset (4.5 hrs away) for a 3k mini!

WILL THE HOT WEATHER PUT PUNTERS OFF BUYING

Well the chancers are out in force today, 2 phone calls, both hadn't read the advert (viewing by appointment only, wondering where we were etc), one was straight onto price wanting £1250 off as "that's all they wanted to spend", and the other wanting £1000 off as he found others cheaper further away...... -
Great point James, I tried to enjoy spending some time with the kids when it was raining non stop for a week and I couldn't get any detailing done. I think alot of us forget that this is a 24/7 kind of business. Best to take the opportunity for some time off whilst you can.

Hadn't sold a car since the 28th of May until yesterday, during this month I've only a couple of half arsed viewings. That was until yesterday, phone hasn't stopped ringing, even for ones that arent ready yet (ie prepping for sale adverts). Sold one that had only been advertised since Monday late yesterday afternoon, really strong money, got another good viewing tommorow on a merc with a 58k 11 plate meriva comming in part ex and then 4 in a queue for a 320d touring that's having the timing chain replaced as we speak. I was like everyone else, sweating like a pedo in a candy store, questioning all my pictures, videos, prices and what not, so glad its actually picked up!

2nd hand car market will always be fine aslong as you're willing to adapt. What else are people going to buy when no one can give finance on a new car anymore?

Just incase anyone runs into any issues on Autotraders trade portal (ie can't load up adverts), try disabling your adblocker first! Hope this saves anyone a phone call!

And a low cut top showing off your cleavage..... Not sure if it works with man boobs though

I'll have it off him!

Tried Facebook boosting for about 6 months, just attracts fucktards that leave shitty comments that leave you questioning your pricing, adverts etc. Still do some free Instagram posts though for a little website exposure

You need to call Auto trader and ask them to switch it on

First trip to auction & a few other questions.
Mikey360 replied to Bagheera's topic in General Dealer Chat
Hi bagheera, I'd suggest buying the £10 ebook on "how to be a car dealer" from car dealer magazine, links in one of the pinned threads, worth it's weight in gold and answers most of your questions. -
I noticed Peterborough have taken on another vendor and the site is just crammed full now. I was at paddock wood for the first time on Monday, felt like I was walking into the 70's!

I only do the engine bays if they look awful. I wrap up any sensitive stuff with cling film, spray down with soapy water, agitate in, VERY quick spray off with the jet and dry with compressed air and towels, then dress plastics with a tiny bit of tyre shine on a microfibre towel. Only needed to do it a couple of times and it hasn't caused any problems yet (touch wood)

Long shot but the Gearbox oil might want a change?

Wait and see what happens with brexit first!

I don't exactly need it, but I got a good deal lol

Great bit of kit for tightening those sump plugs -
Depends on what your documents say, sometimes motor trade insurance just covers you for road risk and not for cars stored at premises at all. Best call them up and discuss

Catch up on jobs that the Mrs keeps nagging at me to do
