  1. I've got the bodywork man out tommorow so i'll see if he can pop that out, and good point! Completely forgot about that, it was only done 10k ago so a good selling point! The only thing I can think of is the headlights were covered in sticker residue so I gave them a heck of a clean, but other than that they've had the same treatment as the others
  2. I've said it before, but I do owe each of you at least a pint in thanks! Really smashing advice, just going through the adverts now to remove some of the bad pics and change the descriptions slightly
  3. That's genuinely made my day thank you, I really appreciate the kind words! Some great tips aswell thankyou! I'm just going through the photos now to take out some of the less desirable angles I'm getting some more capital soon to get some more stock in (lower mileage and newer), so hopefully that'll help!
  4. Thankyou TV! If people do like the videos, I could do it as a side line if there's enough interest..... I was on the phone to Autotrader yesterday, they said the website link had been put on? Clearly not. www.theautomotiveapproach.co.uk Great advice on the sticky stock, I'm just really surprised the phone isn't ringing for any of the cars very true, didn't think of that! Now you've mentioned it they do look like they should have had 9 coats of wax for a reflection shot! Super thanks Mark, izettle would more be for credit card payments as most of the stock is within credit limits, only considering it at the moment though. I'll sort out the mentions of payment methods aswell, thankyou! Great thankyou Nick!
  5. Awesome thankyou Nick that's some brilliant feedback! Always love the way your pics look in your adverts! In regards to the mileage, is it bad to under state it rather than over state it? So because it's done over 90k, would it be better to put 90250? I can just imagine a punter saying I've advertised it because its a few miles over what's in the advert
  6. True, it does take a lot of time and effort to make them! I was planning to do a walk around video of the Mondeo when it's ready as it's not sporty like the BMW and Audi, and with the Mini I thought a stylish video would attract the younger audience that the cars intended for
  7. Welcome to the Forum! Very good point, I'm probably doing myself out of a phone call, we are all technically salesmen and they need to be with us in person for us to do our sales pitches!
  8. Last time I went skiing I ended up being airlifted off the side of an Austrian mountain after "pizza wedging" wasn't slowing me down......
  9. Glad you like the Video, they take me a good few hours in filming and editing!
  10. No offence taken! At the moment I'm storing the cars at a caravan storage site, good friends with the owner so he lets me do all the viewings there in a really nice gravelled area just outside of the indoor unit where there kept. I'm just waiting for one area of the gravel to be refilled (soak away was dug in last year) and I can do all the photos from there in front of a green steel wall, so at least then it will look like its in front of a unit! Completely agree with all the points, I am looking at getting izettle soon so then punters can use cards, i'll look into renting a land line number aswell! Thankyou! Definitely spending some money on tyre shine tomorrow! I think I'm missing a service book and key pic for the BMW, is it worth doing even when it's only got the little service booklet and one key with no A4 receipts? I always found shooting in direct sunlight a nightmare because of reflections on dark cars and the contrast in exposures? I was thinking about redoing the BMW in overcast conditions? Thankyou for the feedback! REALLY appreciate it! Noted, thankyou Mark!
  11. Awesome thankyou Nick! Much appreciated!
  12. Evening all, seeing as the phone hasn't rung in a few weeks, I was hoping for some feedback on my adverts. Seriously, hit me with everything you've got, all criticisms welcome! I'd really appreciate any help you guys can give me! I've only got 3 proper ads up and 2 are due in any day now. (I've taken one down (2008 Mondeo estate 2.2 Titanium X, 70k) as its had to go into the garage for some minor repairs and the body work man is coming tomorrow to tart it up so will need fresh photos) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/cambridgeshire/peterborough/the-automotive-approach-ltd-10015602 The mini (and unadvertised mondeo) have been in since late November, BMW and Audi have been advertised since early Jan now with no enquiries what so ever
  13. On Autotrader, I'll start up a new thread so this one doesn't get swamped!
  14. Bloody hope it picks up, phone hasn't rang in 2 weeks now. Had 2 gone in the first 4 days of Jan, one came back for a warranty claim though. Get the odd email offering £750-1K less but that's it! Think i'll start offering my manly services to all the lonely ladies to prop the car sales up when its quiet
  15. Yup I've had this twice on TFSI engines that threw up fault codes, if you've got the car, turn it on and see how hard it is to remove the oil cap. If it's really difficult it's likely to be the pcv.
  16. I think if the cars under 10 years old, had low owners and has been looked after (ie getting the advisories done and serviced on time), mileage isn't an issue up until 150k
  17. Ok so lubed up the edges of the windows. They got stuck down as normal, moved it less than a metre and they worked again, and then continued to work when stationary (as they did before) I've checked the battery before turning it on this morning (hadn't been run since Friday), 12.1, then when running, held at 14.7. Hopefully the grease has done the job, but can't test it until it's been sat for a few hours Okay..... Now this is odd. I think everytime I've started the car, the door has been open causing the "window down" I've just been out, got in, CLOSED the door, started her up and voila! Both Windows goup and down no problem! Then I turned it off, jumped out, locked and started again with the door OPEN and both the windows would only go down! Regardless if the door was open or shut after starting! This has to be some weird safety feature so you don't lock yourself out of the car?? Thankyou for that suggestion tradex, I think I can live with it like this!
  18. I shall get the door cards off today and get them done, would that explain the not going up when stationary because they need more voltage?
  19. Its not a DIY, you pay someone to do it. Fiverr is like a free lance market place?
  20. I can't hear the motor struggling at all when they do work, so Im assuming they're okay?
  21. Yes had a good look under the rubber grommets. When they're down, they jump up a tiny bit (less than 5mm) as if they're both at the top? So they still get the "message" from the switch. They both do exactly the same thing independently
  22. It's only when I use the switch to get them down, they're not going down by themselves. It's like the speed sensor doesn't allow them to go back up unless some sort of speed is registered?
