  1. Yes, mostly to myself when I see a cheap mini on the block and think it won't be like that last one!
  2. Nope, I shall test it today thankyou! It had a scan after the battery was coded to see if anything came up, there was a code to say there was no communication to the footwell control module, hence the flash and reset
  3. Now there's some hard evidence!
  4. None taken! Wish I could have joined! Never is easy in this game!
  5. Well I'm not taking the bloody thing apart to convince you any more
  6. Yes have given the window reset thing a go, didn't change anything. Thank you for the suggestion though! That's what its all about!
  7. Yup been trying to since early November now! Never again Meant early December*
  8. Evening all, I've got a 2009 Mini 1.4 first in stock, 98k FSH, low owners. When the car is Stationary, the windows go down, but won't come back up until you move... and when I mean move, we're talking 2mph. Can't find anything on the web about it? It's had a new battery (coded in) and the foot well control module flashed and reset to see if that helps. Everything else works fine, just a bit of a weird one. Is it a safety feature?
  9. If it doesn't go through the guide its bloody close!
  10. Surprised that pipe didn't blow up like a condom in a school yard!
  11. I've actually taken my mini out of storage today to redo the photos and I had a look at where the dipstick goes, I think it does go through the guide! If I remember i'll take a photo tommorow
  12. Dipstick in the engine could be fatal if it got caught in the crankshaft, sounds like they're trying to shift the blame to you
  13. I agree! How many miles has it done? Service History? What did you sell it for?
  14. If you didn't break the dipstick how can they blame you? It's happened to a mate of mine on an old Passat, the orange plastic fell to bits when he checked the oil and the metal dipstick went down the tube, difference here is he didn't start the engine and called me for help! If he broke the dipstick and then started the engine isn't that negligence?
  15. That looks amazing! I love taking my pics in the summer on grass but it ends in disaster trying to do it this time of year!
  16. What sort of stock are you selling? 6 a month sounds great!
  17. Very lucky, it's just such a pain with the N47 engines with the chain at the wrong end! They always seem like such good sellers but I've always stayed away, maybe time to change my tune!
  18. This is my goal this year to have stock like this! All looking very clean and tidy there! My only concern would be the diesel BMWs with the ticking time bomb timing chain at the back of the engine. I know the smaller petrol engines can suffer from the same problem if they're not serviced properly
  19. Friend of mines battery ran flat this winter, called the AA out, they were sure it was the alternator having a busted diode, wanted to get it booked in to his mates garage next day..... after he was on the road again he noticed he'd left the interior light on.
  20. "Whys it had so many owners?" Fucked if I know! Had it three times now on a 2008 Mondeo over the weekend, it's had 5 owners, one every 2 years, think that's about normal for most folk?
  21. Not bad for me, 2 away this week with plenty of phone calls etc, had a crap viewing today though, slated the car from the off. Said he worked in the car trade but wouldn't tell me where or doing what, was adamant it has been exported at some point because there was a small dent in the sill (for a strap), cut him short and said it wasn't the car for him and tried to send him on his way when he asked what I'd take for it gone today, asked him what he was working towards and he wanted 750 off....... He was quickly shown the door.
