  1. Not 100% but i dont think you can with PAYG
  2. Stand back and zoom in, buy a cheap tripod and keep using your phone or get a dslr. Makes the car look A*
  3. Weirdly enough my Brother used to be a property manager in London and was regularly approached by dealers asking if they could rent spaces from him at his larger sites with underground parking. I don't think he ever had the space as his occupancy rate was near perfect. Think the only time he rent a space out (that wasn't a Tennant) was for a foreign diplomat with a huge blacked out top spec Mercedes with the mounts on the front wings for the flags!
  4. Hahaha I dread to think , only problem with trading for home is that I'm in rented property and have no idea how the landlord would react to it if the council got wind of a business being run from here and had to go through all that
  5. Yes could sell from home although the boss lady indoors wouldn't be too happy if someone came knocking because something went wrong! Does it give off a terrible impression selling from the roadside or is it just a bad idea in general? It is a 12 month contract type thing, thats the only big downside
  6. No it would purely be for storage (hopefully cleaning and photos too), but it's right on the edge of a very picturesque town so plenty of places to sell by the roadside Tried the local football and rugby clubs but they are rammed when a match is on (car parks full and overflowing onto the roads) haven't tried the cricket or tennis clubs though, good shout!
  7. Should be between 6-10 in stock, problem around my area is it seems to be £1500+ PCM for anything close to being able to fit that amount of cars in or outside with parking, plus bills on top. And I keep getting turned down because they don't allow the motor trade or there's allready a motor trader in their Park. Guessing it's just the postcode keeping the prices up on everything (you wouldn't believe the housing rents around here) 10 miles North of Peterborough, about mid range then.
  8. Spending the entire day going round farms and caravan places in the area trying to find a decent place to store the cars. Most aren't interested or are a bit too official (container storage @£120pm). Came across one place that's offering me indoor, secure storage at £10 per car per week with decent access times (nothing past 9pm) Is that a reasonable price? Or am I aiming way to high?
  9. Plenty around, just trying to find a friendly one! I did help a farmer out a few years ago after he hit a deer in his L200 and popped a tyre, gave him a lift to his farm because he'd left his spare there and his Mrs had just had a baby..... Would it be bad to call in the return favour after all this time? I'll alert the relevant authorities! Next time you're in Stamford try The Crown Hotel, much nicer!
  10. Based in Stamford (bloody posh town, can't stand it but the Mrs loves it)
  11. Think I might be knocking on some farmers doors soon, or looking at some caravan storage sites!
  12. I'm sure this has been covered before as a sub question on a thread, but I'm just trying to get my head round it as struggling to find anywhere around me to store my cars (going full time at the end of this month, would be challenging to pay for commercial space to rent straight away), if anyone has any cheap ideas for storage I'd be forever greatful! Anyway, so to park trade cars on a public road, I'm guessing they have to be taxed? (obviously insured too, although is trade insurance okay for that?) Can you just use the green slip to tax them on a monthly basis? How does it work when you sell it? Can the new owner still tax it with the green slip? Or do you use the log book? Again, sorry if this has been covered before!
  13. Have you tried turning it off and on again?
  14. Every other manufacturer seems to be going nuts for hybrids at the mo, really suprises me they'd stop to try fix the engines that will soon be out of fashion? Even more suprised that mazda are bring back their oil burning wankle engine as a range extender!
  15. All to familiar, much much worse on facebook market place (sold my personal car on there a year ago), bloody phoned pinged every other minute with stupid offers, even the reasonable offers never got back in touch!
  16. Normally 3k-6k stuff, anything that's not a crap box really! And great tip on stocking up before everyone has a go! If anything I thought January would be quiet on the buying front
  17. Fingers crossed its at least a steady one then!
  18. I'm in my first year of trading, been alright so far and just about to take it full time this Month. What the Christmas period like for sales? Does it drop dead over November, December and January or does it just dip a little? I can't remember ever waking up on Christmas morning to find that Father Christmas had bought me that M5 I asked for! I know it's impossible to tell the future, but hows has it been in previous years?
  19. Do your research before getting there, find out any niggles with any potential cars your looking at like camchain rattle when cold or whiney gearboxes. They will look completely different in person than they do on the bca website, so check for rust spots on the sills and arches. Also windscreen chips are easy to miss! Make sure you don't over bid aswell! Its really easy to get caught up in a bidding war with someone who only wants a £200 profit! Just leave it and move on, you're just loosing money to win low profits! Also, might be worth hanging around till the end as some of them come back through for whatever reason, loads of people start to leave about half hour before with the last few lots, so there's less people to bid against. Ive had many a bargain by doing this!
  20. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201808219703022?atmobcid=soc3 Think I'd rather have this and some change left over to go on holiday!
  21. I'd be very tempted to have this on a plaque!
  22. Stick to bacs or cash, no fees then! Never had anyone complain.
