I think they are penalising you because of having had a policy cancelled? I have to say, you have another thread where it has been highlighted that you are very quiet and that you aren’t prepping cars until sold.... what have you been doing that was more important than sorting out your insurance?

I had a man passing us on his way to the builders merchants looking for a new wheelbarrow.... He did ask if we had a Dacia instead....

It was never designed to assist a "proper" trader. its only designed to put an arm around the useless traders / private customers, that don't know what a good/legal tyre looks like or if the engine sounds right etc... It was also designed to create additional income.

I think the book might give these a right old slating... I see more and more Teachers / University Lecturer types driving these now. All seem to have large roof boxes and dogs in the boot. The book may not take extras into consideration (luggage racks, dog guards etc..)

Nope, definitely comes separate.

If you don’t still have the keys, you will have no insurance, that was the story for us when we had one out on unauthorised loan

If it’s just the union at the pump and the pipes are ok. And you are mega careful with an air cut off tool.... you can just change the union! Its a 1 time fit - and cannot be removed without cutting it off. However undoing the nut/union is a real ball ache too. From memory the pipes are around 60 plus vat now from Ford.

The missing undertrays and heat shields are going to be an issue for everyone. I would imagine we are going to be getting phone calls from cars we sold 5 years ago and removed heatshields for annoying rattles.....

This is Wheely bad...... It wheely shouldn't happen....

We try not to give a customer a reason to take the car into another garage. Nowadays every garage (independent or franchised main dealer or one man band) have a huge chip on their shoulder when it comes to used car dealers..... they think we are having it off and taking huge profits out of every car. And if they cant get a share of it by putting in huge bills/estimates then they try to sabotage the sale as best as they can by slating us/the car. Bastards......

I’d let Michelle Keegan do whatever she likes to me

I think its to do with a poor connection behind the fuse box, we have fitted several of the so called "repair kits". Its a proper pain in the arse for them. It will cost them big time i reckon. There are two options available when previously i have ordered the parts, you can either buy the complete battery cable that runs from the battery in the boot straight to the fuse box behind the glove box - or buy a little repair section that you cut and crimp onto the existing battery cable behind the glove box. I'm pretty sure if it was my own car and somebody else (BMW) were paying id be wanting a complete new cable running in. #interioroutjob

We had a poor weekend, I put it down to the fact we didn't have enough cars, if we had say 200 more.... we might have sold 15.

Our only experience of a Kia dealer was a poor one. Our customer took his venga in because it was lacking power, they told him it needed a turbo. Kia Wrote him a letter to explain that the turbo was worn out and it wasn’t covered under warranty. Quoted him a fortune, we dragged it back - f all wrong with turbo. EGR clogged - cleaned it out, power back to normal. The customer was going back to see the experts and have a word. I guess it depends upon the fault and the dealer.

Mind... that looks a rather fancy dogging car park.... it had people sunbathing and Peacocks! We only have Peacocks in Zoo's in the North East.

No goodwill, but they were offering repair kits from TPS for about £200 from memory, wither that or a used one or repair jobby by ECUtesting. -
This is correct. I wish we could private sale our duff cars.

That said "specialist" will want to rob it from you in my experience. BCA have wheelchair adapted sales, where said "specialist" goes and pays "the Earth" for everything and anything.

What is the code andy? It might just need a repair kit. -
On a margin vehicle VAT on the fees is not recoverable and should not be invoiced plus vat, just like when you sell a margin vehicle, although vat is paid on the margin - it can not be recovered and is not itemised separately on the invoice.

Because it does

Whilst I don’t agree with their business model. This is not going to be good news, customers (lazy bastards) rely on these places keeping their cars look semi respectable and clean.

Also, the steering wont recalibrate if there is a faulty speed sensor, sounds stupid but trust me, you will need to fix that first.

What year is it? It should be behind the steering wheel (Airbag clock spring style)
