Don’t talk to me about the birds.... our stock has been blitzed by blackberry eating birds!

It still says its the registered keepers duty to notify.

If you read the V5 correctly, it’s the customers responsibility to send the yellow slip away. Remind the customer of this and put a full stop after it.

Be creative... and remember... do the councils always do what they say they are gonna do? I would have said you have a duty of care to make sure cars are road worth and safe.
-
Sui generis- is a planning classification. Its what most councils give to the selling of cars etc... If you have planning for a tyre shop surely this falls under the umbrella of repairing/servicing cars? Whether you are doing it fast or slow doesn’t really matter.

Replace the door mirror? Just replace the indicator part instead... as Dave said... it needs diagnosed first... 5 mins should do by a competent mechanic.

Hi David I would be careful displaying sensitive data on here....

Sunglasses? Sweater around the Neck? What kind of watch was he wearing? To be honest... this forum is for car dealers.... the guy you describe is not a car dealer. -
Never used them, they do offer something very similar to lawgistics I think. Steph that is the rep for them is very nice and extremely helpful.

Once had an old Peugeot 306 that had belonged to Philippe Albert during his time at Newcastle United. To be fair it was a bit of a shitheap.

Still no response from the op, not even a thank you for Trade Vets reply..... Height of bad manners in my book.

I think personally, it all depends upon the age, car and price. If you are adding value by renewing the cam belt in theory your car is worth more and should sell for a higher price. Mind if you are talking about cars under £2k, I would sell them as is and recommend that the customer has it renewed themselves or arrange to get it done for them at your local guy.

He won’t reply. He is currently playing on LinkedIn. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s a game played out on a social media platform whereby the players peacock with fancy job titles and boast about salaries etc... in the hope that they get “headhunted” to a different job with a better job title.

Instrument cluster at fault, it’s extremely common. Seemingly the soldered joints inside need reflowing, it looks easy if you have a magnifying glass and a posh soldering iron We use a local guy that charges £60 to sort it out.

I like a challenge, I love it when the lads come through and tell me they can’t fit that shitty tyre you ordered! Although I don’t use daves method, I have seen it done... waste of brake cleaner if you ask me.

Seemingly Eurocarparts now supply Halfords with their mixed to order rattle cans from their LKQ division.

I’ve just bought a small petrol pressure washer off eBay too. Hyundai branded, £240 inc vat ... it’s bloody mint!
