All of the dealers have guided diagnosis now. They are trying to make sure that the tech has to do as little thinking as possible and wastes 3 hours with a scope to fix a faulty cam sensor
-
No, its far easier to plug a computer in that TELLS you how to fix it?
-
Compression check?

He’s clearly being unreasonable, without a reason to not start... ie banging it’s brains out with an oil problem, I see no reason not to start except to hide something that his garage may have done wrong?
-
Why cant it be started? Have they attempted to remove the glow plug and a bit fallen inside the engine?
-
You could get the car back get a key for it inspect it and refund the guy less the costs? It’s a bit soft I know. But the punter is kind of in the middle of it all, and he could claim the losses from his garage?

I caught a local garage to us wire the airbag light up to the oil pressure light inside the cluster!

I wouldn't mention the PD part, before the newer 1.6/2.0 common rail engines, they were all PD engines, just with different power outputs. It cant be a very expensive car surely? The 130 stopped on about a 53 plate.

How Much To Fill A Discovery Tank (bet I win)

Its ok if it’s misted / vaporised water... drag cars/rally cars etc use a system to get intake temps down. However water in fuel to be combusted normally will definitely result in a breakdown -
Does it feel like it hits a wall at 70mph? If it is then it will be speed limited, this is done via a ford IDS computer and is simple enough for an experienced IDS operator.

It’s a bit like asking where the end of the rainbow is.

They also can go stepped on the inside edge, get your hand in and feel around the circumference and feel if they are lumpy? This gives off a horrible noise like a diff/bearing. However tge bearings in the in the rear diff are of a lesser quality than those in my 3 year old sons scooter.

This wouuld be a fantastic idea... it would give a general indication of which direction to go in and eliminate the necessity to replace parts unnecessarily -
Your assuming it wasn’t done at the factory, it may have been retrofitted since manufacturing, therefore wouldn’t be on their list.
-
How do you know it’s not the customer that is either thick and can’t pair it properly or even if their phone is incompatible?
-
It’s not worth taking a risk on the brake pipe IMO. You can’t tell how much metal has corroded away and how weakened they are with the naked eye.

Quite boring really, it turned out that BCA shouldn’t have sold it as it was the intellectual property of Mr Kipling. I didn’t have to sell it back to BCA, however I do get on well with Bedford and didn’t wish to fall out with them. Looking back i should have made Mr Kipling sweat it out for a little while first. -
This has to be a wind up..... who is this said newbie.... I have to say that you are very good at keeping up the masquerade.

Id be weary of this car... trade it out to me for £600.

Not much help, but it will need to go to somebody with a Lexia/Peugeot planet. We have a C4 Cactus that is giving us the run around at the moment, the ECU is made by Bosch and our Bosch KTS gives us undocumented codes! It could be anything, with the right equipment you can see how full the DPFand the Additive tank is and work out from there what the problem might be. A quick google in your area, Leycroft Autocare claim to be a french specialist?

The best thing I’ve ever owned was an ex kipping cake van. I’ll post a photo if I can work out how to do it. -
They have a sulphur filter, and they do need regenerated from time to time. From memory this can only be done whilst driving.
