Aha! It’s all to do with the DSRs & 14 days again.
-
It doesn’t me cos I don’t pay them a bean.....here we go again

Anyone got an apple for teacher?
-
Hahaha, it must be a different Hassan to the many Hassans from whom I receive emails. On a £3990er I’d of expected a bid of £2500! Parasites.
-
Tbf by the sound of it they were only doing their job. It’s the bitter failed salesman/mechanic or retired RAF Majors crabbing cars to death that are the problem.
-
I know it’s embarrassing. I’ve been warned for inappropriate language so I’ve had to reduce my usually eloquent standards to the level of text messaging.

Private section - who is responsible so I can access it?
BHM replied to Linctrader's topic in General Dealer Chat
I must of caught them on a slack day - it took about 2 hours for me. I’m sure they’ll get around to it in good time - I guess the magazine takes precedence over the forum. -
The undertrays bit is covering themselves in case something fails that is hidden from view which, to me, is fair enough. Are we all covering ourselves in this game? As for failing on a sidelight bulb, if your sidelight bulb was u/s then it’s a fail. I’m unsure what your point is.

Say nowt. Mention of “remap” will attract the penniless nutters (you’ll get enough of those anyway on an Audi) and scares away the genuine punters who think it’ll be abused & worry themselves to death over insurance. I’ve always found that anything non-standard kills a car.
-
Oh right Arfur, I’ve learnt something new today. There’s a garage around these parts that take £xxx “to remove the car from sale which is deducted from the purchase balance” which I assume is to get around the deposit ‘problem’. Tbh it’s time punters manned-up & took responsibility for their own actions. Paying a deposit then cocking on the deal is a c***s trick & there shouldn’t be any legal protection for these timewasters.
-
An expensive day out for the man. How do you deal with the deposit issue as he’s a distance seller & is entitled to it or do you just f*** him off?
-
Haha, I see straight talk has caused offence.
-
You missed 2 stars from the second set of stars for the ‘comma’ & the letter ‘S’. You should be ashamed of yourself

N/S of vehicle has been repaired - mot advisory??
BHM replied to Ocsltd's topic in General Dealer Chat
It is what it is. It’s just a fail, pass or pass with minors instead of advisories. Nowt new to my eyes. -
Hahaha, I’ll second that. Usually they’re tight fisted cos they haven’t got a pot to piss in.
-
True but it’ll also scare away a few genuine people. I work the opposite way, no deposit it’s simply first come, first served. If they turn up & start nit picking its me who terminates the discussions & walks away - not the punter crying about his deposit. It works for me, straight talk on the phone weeds out 90% of the undesirables and I sharp deal with the 10% who’ve slipped through the net. I think whichever way you do it, as we’re dealing with the general public then we will always come across the greedy, stupid, chancers, ignoramuses & ‘champagne taste lemonade money’ pillocks. Imagine being on a pitch & having to deal with any time wasting idiot who decides to drop-in, them lads deserve a medal!
-
Yes, but as you say that was absolutely years ago. Things are VERY different now - standards have plummeted & people talking shit seems to be the norm nowadays.
-
Andymc is correct. If it’s “in trade” you can tax it at the post office, if it’s not then save yourself the bother of phoning the DVLA & just apply for a new log book and wait. There’s nowt else you can do.
-
What a tale Dlloyds! As for despising the general public, before I started in this industry I must confess my total & utter ignorance of the 50%+ of public who are liars, bullshitters, idiots, deceitful scumbags, time wasters, dreamers, chancers & those with over-inflated opinions of themselves.
-
Yes you bloody well can! Absolutely. Anyone desperate enough to be trawling around their cars to punters houses are soon going to be disappointed. Only messers want their arses wiping, a rear punter will come to you.
-
Not a real man, that’s for sure! Unfortunately though, exactly the same sort of arsehole who, after wasting an hour of your life inspecting a car and then test driving it, says “I’ll have to go & speak to the Mrs”. Or, after attempting to negotiate for 3 days via email on his £100 p/x, then sinks to the level of typing “The Mrs has decided we should keep our current car”. Pathetic.
-
Your mistake was taking a car to their house. Nothing should leave the premises until FULL payment has been received.
-
Haha, it’s good to see I’ve got a mention as one of the curmudgeons. The day an auction house representative chooses to assist me f.o.c. will be the day I’ll be more than happy to reciprocate said assistance.
