That USED to be the case with most East Europeans but alas not now. Messing, “best price?”, saying “the car has problems” to beat down the price seems to be order of the day.

After all the population of Poland is only about 39,000,000 As the building industry found out, their enthusiasm for work lasts about 3 years then human nature being what it is, they become as ‘enthusiastic’ as the rest of the workforce. After all, living in the UK is hardly a novelty for them, is it?
  3. Was a genuine VW belt kit used?
  4. True, although you know you’ll need to spend £70 on two front bottom arms on the 10yr old one! I’d imagine a click-and-collect type operation for a franchise doesn’t appeal long term - surely it’s another step further towards cars being treated as white goods. Also my guess is Daksh Gupta’s reluctance to execute home deliveries isn’t just COVID19, he’ll be taking a view with regards to the DSRs.
  5. It’d be preferable to tasteless BMWs & Audis.

Shame his car wash wasn’t next to Metcar’s Polish tyre place then they could’ve put out the fire.
  7. Read the back of the new keeper slip you should of been given & follow the instructions.
  8. Personally for my business phone as a technophobe I stick with what I know (iPhones) and Vodafone. Over the years I’ve only had 2 or 3 issues & always gone into the local shop where nothing’s been a bother & it’s always been sorted (once I was even loaned a phone). As for a phone query with Customer Services or on Livechat I wouldn’t have a clue - most of these big companies would rather mess you about via these depts hence why I bypass them. As an aside, last year I replaced the kids iPhones & at the time the cheapest way was to buy the phones & put them on a SIM only contract with Virgin.

Eh? Isn’t that an old wives tale? If it’s cheap enough they’re not bothered - everything has its price. Years ago I was a regular in Gdańsk, Poland and at the time RHD cars couldn’t be registered (dunno if it’s the same now). However on every other backstreet there was some absolutely fucked UK write off getting nailed back together & in the process also switched to LHD.
  10. In that case I must be owed plenty of money for all the cars I’ve taken from auctions that failed their MOTs.
  11. Haha, why don’t look at the top of the page & take out your frustrations on one of the various pop-ups offering you sexual services? So far today we’re being offered a date with ‘Sania aged 28’, the ‘15 million Asian women’ looking for contact along with the offer of ‘Get your Cherokee serviced’ (I’m not sure if that last one is slang talk for sort of gratification).
  12. It’d just like to point out the outrageous grammatical errors surrounding the words scaly & scalys, of which the pronunciation must surely be scale-y & scale-ees. Assuming the comments are referring to a ne’er-do-well character who fails to execute business in the correct manner, I believe the correct spellings to be scally & scallies. I’ll get my coat..........
  13. Laugh all you like but I’ll tell you what, them Austin Rover/Rovers etc. were good cars! Honestly!! I had plenty, most of would come into the VERY SECONDHAND bracket and all reliable (well, except for the 2600 that shat it’s head gasket after 4 days then when I got it back the auto box, when cold, wouldn’t change gear until hitting the redline in 1st gear). Metro, Maestro, Maestro Van, SD1, old PB6s - fine automobiles in my book! Even the 827 hatchback wasn’t a bad car once I’d stripped the dashboard to change the heater matrix that the dodgy car trader had blanked off - those were the days
  14. About 30 or so years ago as a skint & naive young fella I needed reliable wheels to get to a new job so got financed-up on a 2-3 year old Metro. I can’t remember the deal, or the car colour for that matter, but no doubt I had it stuck right up me. All was ok until one day when I turned it upside down, writing it off. The insurance company maxed-out their offer but I had negative equity so had to pay additional money to pay off the finance - I’m not sure what would of happened if I hadn’t had some savings by then. Anyhow it was a valuable lesson which I’ve stuck to in not to buy depreciating consumer goods on tick.
  15. Really? I’d imaging there isn’t enough TS officers to deal with every dodgy internet sale, certainly not to investigate individual cases. Bodgit & Scarper will be doing good trade via their £30 phones. If you were a bit unscrupulous I reckon you could be raping the arse out of punters at the moment, especially as plenty of them are of the ‘greedy parasite’ variety - all waiting to be had over. Funnily enough I already know of one greedy **** who’s been had for £1500 over a £2500 item - the greedy are always taken in by a cheap price.
  16. I imagine they’ll be making hay while the sun shines & catching a few criminals. I also imagine the drug taking classes must be screaming for their fixes (surely there’s much less available?) and hopefully those scallywags delivering are being swept up whilst driving around the housing estates on a night.
