Hi, does anyone know, in how many days after buying a car the dealer have to send the V5C certificate to DVLA? Is there a law about this? A time limit or something. I have bought a car a month ago, and I didn't received the new V5C certificate. I have contacted the dealer, and they have sent it to DVLA, 27 days after I have bought the car. That means I have wait even more until I get my certificate, and now that DVLA is not processing anymore, is probably going to be even longer than usual.

Hi Guys, new to the trade and I’m starting in the next few weeks by selling from home. My budget for my first car is around 18-20k. I have ran a couple of successful businesses in the past but to be honest I don’t like them they just make money but cars have been my passion and joy for years. I’ve done a fair amount of research and have spoken to a few people but there is still some gaps in my knowledge that I would appreciate you guys helping me out with so firstly its been mixed advise advise on whether or not to get motor trade insurance and set up a Ltd business from the get go? For the V5C when buying and selling how do I fill out the form so i don’t own the car personally as I don’t want to add another owner to the list if that makes sense. Cheers Oli -
Hi all, My Son has recently started his own business, he is modifying road going cars for race/rally use to customer requirements but for the first time is stumped, he bought a car from another trader and is not sure as to what to do with the V5C how it should be filled out etc, its equally not clear on the GOV.UK website...
