  1. You say cazoo, i say corona, cazoo, corana, lets call the whole thing off
  2. i keep seeing the following in adverts i view = Due to recent global events the UK may experience distribution disruption in the coming weeks. We are working closely with our suppliers to ensure the impact on our stock levels is minimal.
  3. Just concentrate on getting a sale, and when you have it, just take the money, might be just me, but why complicate things ? is it not hard enough trying to get full money in the first place nowadays ? because i will tell you now, when you try to sell this to the customer they will want it throwing in at sticker price ! And on that basis, you would be far better off giving them 1 years free mot next year, it would increase your chance of a sale [ next years mot FREE ! ].........
  4. When you break it all down, bca are providing the cars, bca are providing the space at corby for refurbishment, bca are valuing / refurbing / doing disposal of there trade ins, so maybe when the bubble busts, bca are all set to step in, and, now this is the best bit, bca, have not bought any cars ! comments ?
  5. Hello El Presidente having seen on tv there advert its total pie in the sky, the thing i see is men all round a desk patting each other on the back and remarking how superb the advert is, if that is there idea of marketing, then no chance, from day one, i think that what all these investors are forgetting is they are selling second hand goods, and second hand goods have problems ! Lets look at there fleet, all over 3.5 ton, that means they should have tachos, so no records will be broke by the delivery driver, and trade plate drivers wont be interested, plus they're not trained to do the handover at pos, and cazoo will want proffesional handover anyway . The cost of advertising will kill the whole concept, has any of these money men actually ever bought a second hand car ? I posted on this next bit before, if you view there actual vehicles on there site, then do a dvla check, you will see they have been stood several months, most are not even sorn ! try delivering a car thats been stood that long! batteries ? brake discs ? oh the headaches !
  6. read autotraders way of valuing vehicles, give you a clue its in the small print of value my car To ensure our prices are accurate, we combine data from: over half a million car adverts on our site over 3,500 dealer websites values from major car auctions ex-fleet and leasing car values ok ? i do not do as i am told, EVER, HAVE NOT USED AUTOTRADER FOR MORE YEARS THAN I CARE TO REMEMBER AND DO NOT LET THEM TELL ME HOW TO VALUE MY CARS, OR WHICH CARS TO BUY, AS SEEMS TO APPLY TO YOU, APOLOGY EXPECTED
  7. no, and independent dealer, the 30 day protects us as well as them, why give away your rights, full details on case please
  8. sorry but this is just nonsense, which law would you use ? misdescribed ? no its not, READ autotraders way of valuing, and see where they get the figures from ?
  9. got to be careful copy and pasting, too easy to remove consumer rights by mistake or get something wrong, your best bet is spend a bit at LAWGISTICS SELF ADMINISTERED
  10. The calm of the new government and brexit has got to be the reason i have never been so busy recently, really panicking last oct nov 2019 year, hopefully 2020 carries on like this, if, as usual, i can get the right stock
  11. gun gum ! or was it gum gun we used to fit used engines from scrap yard £50 chance your luck, £75 guaranteed a good un of course they were all the same, seen us fit 2 engines before finding a good un in the third, bloody scrapmen gunk it down, hose pipe, satin black the rocker cover, punter thought they were getting a recon. Batterys falling through the bulkhead on escorts? they were awkward to weld up without setting car on fire ! within 12 inch of strut top so had to be welded in, not just plonked it and blacked round the edges repair panels NEVER fitted, put a new wing on something and you could walk in the door gap, so it was easier to clag it up, once got a metro bonnet and it was a whole inch shorter from wing to wing ! chrome wheel arch trim ! you could get in red too, wish i had a £1 for ever foot i've fitted of that ! but there again i probably have it used to bring the car up that much ! engines, they were all poor, chevette / viva engine was abysmal, and the sarter motors didnt last 2 minutes, too near exhaust manifold, remember the square bit on the end of the starter motor you put a 7/16 spanner on it if it got stuck n'o i dont remember neither
  12. How many times do you hear, " i am sick of looking at other cars, and this is the best, i should have come here first " because i get it, and then i explain exactly why my car is allegedly ten bob dearer. bang on exactly, and this is where you explain your business and the merits for buying from you, i have just this minute replied to a message from a punter where we have actually spoke earlier , he has viewed [ and i dam well know he has been looking all day at cheaper] my car and he is asking if i can put it on his drive xmas eve, of course i can !
  13. Quite surprised here at these posts, the reason why you got the v5c in such short time is because the previous owner had informed dvla that they no longer owned the vehicle, quite often, they do not do this, they can "expect" the "motor trader" to sort all this out when they part exchange, they can simply hand over the complete log book to new keeper, who then can "loose" it or they simply dont read the v5 when selling / exchanging there vehicle, it can take 6 weeks [ i shouldn't have to explain this] because dvla have to ask the previous owner if they have sold the vehicle, by 2 nd class post by the way. It is called "being in trade" . There WAS away round this, it has been removed, by the dvla, i have not mentioned this on here before because i am in the middle of a super complaint enquiry with dvla, if the magazine wishes to get involved in this and want a good story then please message me, i can only add, until further notice, that, [for the benefit of car dealer magazine] this move by dvla has introduced a even bigger financial burden on the motor trade that is already suffering great hardship, thankyou.
  14. It is ultimately the customer that controls the market, they're not daft nowadays, not autotrader, the customer can look past this bollox, good luck
  15. Correct, and some customers will say there insurance covers other cars, it does'nt, because there will be no insurance on the car that they are test driving, if they don,t insure it "till they get home" after purchase, i tend not to get involved if i can help it other than, if your local, i will deliver it, a common thing amongst many car dealers i reckon this "i will insure it when i get home " ?
  16. Thank fek thats all over lets hope we now have stability coming back, people will now be not so unsure of whether to spend there money with us and we will all have a great xmas !
  17. not knocking the garage at all, just questioning the reference to the rac on the invoice
  18. No, when he came back with more issues I asked him to have an independent RAC report done on the car. (So it was less likely to be a £20 to a mate jobby). Thats the report (plus he had a quote done for good measure.) this doesnt add up, if you look up rac approved garages, this garage is not rac approved, according to rac website, and the garages website is not advertising as being rac approved ? what is this advisory ?
