  1. B2 industrial use only ........ There lies your problem, it does not have retail car forecourt use. It is solely a warehouse for storage and distribution purposes only. Now, I know B2 use, if you sell your cars online, appointment only for collection your local council should agree, however I strongly advise you speak to them, tell them your plans and get written confirmation like I did. My Business premises is B2 and because I could prove I already operated "sold online" only, that way my landlord and the council had no problems with my usage and giving me the lease......... It absolutely suits me and my business model to the ground The add, the warehouse main use is for storage, the internet is solely your retail forecourt. Confirmed buyers collect from you only. You do not offer viewings... Yeah perfect !!
  2. Dave, I understand exactly where you are coming from as a workshop, but equally it may last another 100k... It's up to you to give the choice, document it, cover your ass, not to make the decision for the customer surely..
  3. In my book, you only replace a DMF if its rattling or showing wear, if its not show wear or rattling I keep my money in my pocket. Never had a comeback in 30+ years.
  4. I’ve learnt by spending 100k’s in garages over the years, if you are not a mechanic, you learn through your wallet. Cars are a commodity, we are business men, we buy we sell, we trade.
  5. In that case I’m an OAP and TV is a fossil....
  6. Don’t be crazy, you aren’t BMW, neither are you Vauxhall.
  7. Its very boring to be fair, bought by parents for 16 year old, not even had a lesson yet........ I secretly think the mother fancied herself in it, she a bit of an early forties milf.... Definately gay in my book.... Taken reluctantly as a PX on an A3 Cab...... Yes, it was more lavendar than pink..... I quite liked it in a Homo sort of way You are right, she said they loved the wheels
  8. How to sell an unroadworthy banger..... BTW, it sold within a day. £350
  9. It’s gone and took 6 months to the day to go !! Never ever again. Bastard thing just sat there every day laughing and calling me a poof !!
  10. Bolt on business suggestions?
  11. Not bad 7 so far for me, but mainly cheapies with lower margins. I've managed to stock up so hoping for a big finish to the month. There's still more than a third of the month left guys with two weekends. But, looking at my stats the last time I sold a car at the weekend was on the 11th March, how weird is that ?........Remember this game is a rollercoaster.
  12. Within the first 30 days, I'm very much of the opinion you sold a car a car with a used battery, so why would you be compensating him with the cost of a new one.... Myself, I would of explained a battery is a consumable, just like tyres and brakes and made a goodwill gesture of a 50% contribution to the cost of a new basic Euro battery. After 30 days, not a chance.
  13. LOL £320, I'm just doing the bit I photo on, not the whole unit
  14. The thing is a guide is just a guide. I'm for Retail Back, simply research comparative motors within 100 miles then work out your margin.
  15. Well I’ve ordered some of this for my unit... Should make the pictures really stand out.... https://www.resincoat.co.uk/en/paints/49-resincoat-hb-epoxy-garage-floor-paint.html
  16. Me too, I just get instantly bored, frustrated and end up breakingthings, plus if I really try to fix something it never goeds back togeather... I simply don't do anything mechanical and leave it to the guys in greasy overalls.. My guys don't have the tool, but they drop it to the tyre place and pick it up, so its worth me investing in a tool to give to them to save time = money.
  17. Agreed....... Now the first thing you do is get rid of those POINTY fecking shoes !!!
  18. Nik, it costs me £20 each time for the local tyre place to remove them... I probably do 5 or more a year.... Plus the waiting around...
  19. As I said it’s my opinion. So the guy was an idiot, he didn’t cover himself, he didn’t do things right and got caught out. No wonder HMRC threw the book at him.
  20. Theres a huge difference in being a SE sole trader, to being a ltd company. There’s no attraction or benefit in being a limited company if you are a sole trader. IMO
  21. Yes, but us knows nothing of true sale price. It’s fundamentally flawed.
