  1. Funny old game, I've had 5 calls today but no bites.... Why do people call to NOT buy your car......
  2. I had this on a Mazda, ended up being a stretched chain....
  3. NO. The term "warranty" is a guarantee in ADDITION to the consumer rights. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/warranty Too add, a warranty could solely be breakdown recovery in the event an alien, more specifically ET from the movie farts on your windscreen and cracks it, all other scenarios are EXCLUDED.....
  4. Automate it, get rid of the cretins.
  5. Why do they make it so fecking difficult, total over bureaucracy. Mine came back to me wanting copy of PL even after sending trade insurance (it says one or the other required ).... Cheque not cashed.
  6. Stock prices IMO dropped after the first two weeks of Jan, I'm still on 8, but got a few just coming through prep now which I've paid under clean for. I just wish I could sell something, not had a call or a sale in 11 days..... twas the same in December for me....
  7. LIKE. To all foreigners, being a Motor Trader is really easy money, buy a car for nothing then wash it and double your money... Simple
  8. Very true Mr C. I can also see the benefit self warranting for the cost of a £5 booklet.
  9. Make your photos really stand out, do a full video appraisal and show a link to your website. "Exceptional example throughout, fastidious service history, prepared to the highest standard, complimentary warranty. PX is welcome. Please visit ECJ.co.uk for full details. Many thanks"
  10. The point here is "personal data". Confirming dates / mileage of services and repairs of an inanimate object is not covered nor has ever been covered by the old DPA or the new GDPR. You are not asking for personal information, you are simply doing what any responsible dealer would do by clarifying its history. That's my interpretation......
  11. I wounder how much they earn...... Would you climb up to the top for a grand on your own ????? Ok 3k... Ok 5K.......
  12. Just has another thought..... you’ve never met the customer ? This could be blatant money laundering.....
  13. Kelly, I think you are wise refunding, the customers haven't been unreasonable and the car has had a repeated problem since the sale ( I know, I know its been trashed ).... I also know how I would feel if I was in their shoes, its good you have worked it out amicably, these problems can keep you awake at night. My only concern is the refund and who to give the refund to legitimately, (billy in prison) you will need to pay it back to whom even has complete power of attorney... I would be very careful that you don't get asked twice for the money, my other thought is do you actually know your customer actually wants a refund.... ?
  14. Del Boy. Sell it to get rid and buy something desirable, always always buy desirable not on cheap because of poor spec. Apply for planning permission......
  15. TV everyone has smart phones, they search on their phones. You are jumping back into the market which has changed beyond all recognition, to be offering a sell your car facility you should be at the forefront of social media, FB, local online media......... You also need a website that sells yourself and your business as THE place to buy locally, THE place to beat WBAC.
  16. People don’t buy papers anymore, it’s free on their phones. When someone searches for a car they look online and the quality buyers look at AT.
  17. Umesh, AT works for me, it's the first point of call for quality buyers. I'm with David.
  18. Apply for the CCJ to be set a side, he has a genuine reason. Otherwise, the CCJ will not be removed. He swill then be able to go back to court, plead his innocence and claim back all costs. HTH https://www.gov.uk/county-court-judgments-ccj-for-debt/if-you-dont-owe-the-money
