  1. BHM, I always find its easier selling the cheaper cars by video, it takes a away their ability to negotiate and it also makes selling the car a much nicer process. Billies don't have the anxiety in meeting you. I could amagine you doing a John Cleese character type of video, would be hilarious.....
  2. Very true... Looking at it that way makes it a no brainer
  3. As a really loyal eBayer selling cars since 2002, I have watched its decline, a lot of us have..... My EMP package is £175.20 + VAT, no Gumtree. Over the last year and more importatntly the last 3 months its been dead, all my sales are from AT.. hardly any enquiries at all.... Anyone else seeing the same ? I'm ready to end EMP..... But then I think it's only £175......
  4. Emails, text, phonecalls where they don't use my name or leave their name.... When they call from one number and say call back on another.... When they ring and say they're local and just want to "av a look".. erm no watch the fucking video and pay the deposit like veryone else. I have watched your video, but I would never buy a car like that, when can I av a look....... All my cars are BIN, yes I know but I just want to av a look.....
  5. I used to say, if you want it call me, don’t call to tell me you don’t want it.
  6. I had an Allroad last year with a cloth interior that had been chewed / destroyed by a dog. It had no bids at the auction for weeks, I bought it well under bottom book, bought a new leather interior off eBay for £300.... it sold straight away for a very healthy profit.
  7. Wait until you’ve gone through years of it.... Genuine buyers leave a message.
  8. Scumbags, the height of rudeness. I’ve stopped ringing them, if they can’t be assed to leave a message then they aren’t genuinely interested. Anyone with a modicum of education knows it’s rude not to leave a message.
  9. It really bugs me when I get missed calls with no message, sometimes multiple calls in a short period of time... What is wrong with these people, it’s so fecking rude.
  10. I used to have to reread his posts multiple times before I worked out what he was saying....
  11. Twerp. I am sure you are aware. The PDI is fundamental to our job, with it signed by the customer it proves the car was fit for purpose at the point of sale. A fresh MOT is also fundamental. Being responsible retailers and substantiating it is our job. If, as a retailer you do not understand this then you are just waiting to be raped.
  12. As a loyal ebayer I agree, it’s died to the point I’m not getting last price emails. I’m sure the cretins have all gone Facebook, where it’s free and without rules.
  13. Miles, report the him to your bank for fraud and ask for his account to frozen
  14. A lot more people are completely strapped up. With the ease of PCP deals “rent a car” schemes used cars aren’t so attractive. But the ones who can’t get PCP can’t afford to maintain their own cars, it’s a vicious circle. The whole game is changing, as I always say it’s a rollercoaster.....
  15. Welcome, surely you should already know the alternatives ? It depends on what works for you, how you market, your stock type and area. I stick with AT because it works for me, multiple platforms might work for you but that depends on you. Edit......lots of you’s....
  16. This question comes up regularly. There is no answer, you have to find what suits you, find your own niche through trial and error. We can’t teach you that.
  17. Are there any 323 enthusiasts? £100 no more £1490 with 12 months mot.
  18. I wouldn't want to be confined to a boat, they can sink. You can't sink when you are on land. A cruise hoiliday has never appealed to me, stuck on a boat with Butlins types, dropped off at port to be pounced on by the local gippos selling tourist tat at hugely inflated prices, oh and the sucking up to the captain..... Emphatic no...
  19. Yes, iPhone 7 HD video using the iMovie app.
