Mark101 536 Posted January 30, 2019 Guys I have a 2011 DS3 1.6HDI 110 which I sold before Christmas. Customer is amazingly patient and it has been back a few times for service light reset/reisk of particulate filter blocking. We have had the car for a week and finally fitted a new DPF cartridge and all good. I drove the car numerous times and redelivered it yesterday - no faults, powerful and smooth. Today, despite new DPF and pressure pipe plus telling the ECU the DPF has been replaced - same message occured. I ahve offered a full refund but customer loves the car and wants me to fix it. Mark, try the DPF doctor website, I know i recommended it on your Volvo problem, they have a good network of guys that know all of the DPF faults and will probably nail it in the first visit. The top guy from them is local to us and he holds DPF training days. He is extremely knowledgeable in all DPF faults on a wide variety of different makes and models. Mark101 536 Posted January 30, 2019 The car has had everything done and service issue (DPF) has come on after less than 20 miles on a new filter cartridge. Yes, it comes up to temperature and prior to changing the DPF accepted 2 forced regens and believe me it got hot (but very little smoke). Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mark101 536 Posted January 30, 2019 Thank CB I am not a techy and only have a generic scanner which doesn't read the car. The workshop have Snap Off but before doing the DPF replacement, they called in a favour from a chap with Dealer Level diag. Again, only third party information and I have some doubts. Puegeot planet is a great machine, as long as you know how to use it. Like most of these things, I'm not sure many do. Mark, if your still stuck with this next week give me a shout as I'm away at present. Exactly this, and believe me, PP is one of the easiest Dealer Level machines to use. Note:- just because the Car says DPF message does not mean it is actually choked. My money is on the Pigs Piss Tank / Pump. The first 2 Snap On Machines spoken of above probably had older software, the one that finally did it was probably up to date ............... I have just had my Solus Ultra Pro brought bang up to date over my Xmas Hols, and it is now doing a helluva lot more, the old software would often proclaim to do this that and the other but it didn't, whereas now it actually seems to do "what it says on the tin" So to those of you with Snap On, who may be a bit like I was, i.e getting fed up with it's shortcomings, getting it updated was worth the £600 ;). If it’s flashing it is usually in need of a service. However like you I found out the hard way, on the other half’s Mazda 6 2.2 diesel, that it means the timing chain is stretched.
