  1. Either way Joe Public don't give a tupenny shit here. Had two car loads turn up at the weekend just kicking tyres, with a very surprised look when told to leave. Hardly surprising though, this Covid has afterall been very under the Radar
  2. Did you put the BSU to sleep before changing the battery? If not.... Do you have Security Card with it's code, ....blue/white or blue/grey credit card sized well, card. Do you have Planet, or was it 2000 something tickety boo on your diagnosis machine? If not.... You may need to stroke your local Pug dealer.
  3. But, the usual excuses will be wheeled out, broken home, vulnerable (what ever that means anymore) some sort of habit other, than getting up each morning to do a job of work. The sentences being handed out are criminal in themselves....that lady copper whoose nose was hanging off by a thread of skin etc.....ffs a small fine and community service painting fences, IF they turn up. I make no apologies for sounding old fashioned but, where there is no punishment, there is no deterrent.
  4. C19 really has brought the stars, characters and IQ challenged out hasn't it. I've bought one (1!) car this month, need lots more and people are telling me it's a buyers market for cash today.... .cash meaning cards or one week to rinse an ISA out.
  5. Sounds like some of the women I see around these parts...
  6. I thought that was just me, or "whats wrong with it then"
  7. My Lidls 2 litre Vanilla Ice Cream container still works very well, obviously you would want to keep Merc keys in a Waitrose Ye Olde English Cornish Clotted Cream Vanilla Ice Cream container but, should work ok?
  8. I rarely get cash now and, with 'click and collect' it shouldn't be an issue anyway, but.. third time I've heard this now and, my wife has seen one trying to be passed, set amongst proper twenties you may not notice? A cursory glance they are OK, another look and, the transparent part is clearly incorrect....not a bad effort but, they will get better. Another good reason for bank transfer only.
  9. Just spoken with an underwriter at Covea and, there is no requirement to register the V5 of a 'keeper' to the business, for the purposes of the insurance cover. They do require 'legitimate' proof that the vehicle is owned by the business, in the form of purchase receipt with the name of the covered party. This is the same advice as when I enquired previously. It follows that if you personally own the 'keeper', not the business, then slap it on the Motor Insurance Database thinking it's covered.... well, in the event of a prang et al, it is not covered by the trade insurance as it won't be the property of the covered party....if that makes sense. hope this helps
  10. I always send mine off the same day as I receive the notification but, as for the hand writing, well.
  11. Absolutely agree with you there, Caddys sell like hotcakes, I just prefer an easy life
  12. I'm with Covea, interestingly, a few years ago I asked this very question and, received the opposite information I'll call again to check this, very important point
  13. But then they can't be worse than those dreadful Caddy vans, even they fail to live up to VeeDubya's low standards. Great old buses those early Berlingos, we did a few of those when on the south coast, 1.9s and 2.0 HDi.
  14. No, no, the cheque went off in December, 'onestly
  15. Ohh Waxoyl, I'd forgotten about that, I used to do most of my old classics and then spend the next few days trying get it off my eyelashes and out of my hair.....then have to put up with the smell for a few weeks every time I went near the treated car, great stuff though.
  16. I'd never get that past her indoors.....she still hasn't forgiven me the time she came home, to find a set of Trident headers being cured in her oven....another five minutes and I'd got away with that.
  17. So the old war cry of "ban the civilians" didn't result in lower prices after all
  18. I think the totally untrendy and, slightly agricultural Masters are the best of a bad bunch according to my garage. They look after a few fleets of totally hammered for a living vans.....Transits, Grafters, Sprinters and a few Masters....every time I go for a ticket they are hoofing new lumps in one of that first trio, or have wiring hanging out of them like Dr Who 60s Tardis. I drove a 16 plate Master with 200k up it before Christmas and it was good drive still, out of that into a 19 plate 'Tyranny' and Jesus H Christ it was soooooo slow with an interior that was disassembling itself as I drove along....the build was shocking. Had a nose around another even worse, where and by whom are these things built, Russian farm peasants. The Masters are eating rear door mechanisms, few injectors (what doesn't nowadays) the odd ignition switch but, I'd rather change those than a mill
  19. Trade Vet will be blowing a head gasket now
