  1. there are quite a few traders in Peterborough but what it does lack in your price range is decent quality cars, a lot are poor quality. When you get set up give us a shout as we don't deal in that price bracket and it's handy to have someone local to move the cheaper stuff out too. We are in Stamford
  2. You should have said yes and added then we can take credit card plus 2% For the remaining £3495
  3. It's only cars they seem to want reducing, they don't barter with tescos or offer 50% off their iPhone from the car phone warehouse. We do get it where they want to get retail money for their car and pay trade price for our car. this week we had someone say our £21500 a6 was only worth £19500 because he had done on online valuation I bet he never did the same valuation on his car. i still reply to every low ball offer as some are genuinely trying it on, some still come off.
  4. I don't think we have broke 10 yet but close to breaking even. It does seem a bit busier this week though.
  5. It can also appear on the idrive or you can call BMW customer services and providing it's been into a main dealer it should show. you can also check to see if the car has a service pack by checking on BMW service, input the reg and mileage and it will tell you if there is a service pack on the car.
  6. Poxy iPad or was it me .... Yes quiet. But 1 more today. It was another forum my permission to post was removed, well it was more like being sent to the headmaster but I couldn't be bothered to visit.
  7. It is, although I've not been on there for a few weeks as I've incurred a ban for questioning why moderators remove posts for no reason.
  8. Side skirt missing on one side, dent in the boot, light cover missing bumper un clipped, needs 2 tyres and dent in the door. Needs a bloody good clean and there must be more aluminium in the tin cans inside the car that the car is made from. No idea if it has an mot .... That's the good, 123k, abs unit has gone but has left every light on the dash, which also tells you to check the coolant. Which you can but you need a dipstick as its full of oil - oil cooler failed ..... The really good, it has the VW nav that you could remove and recover 50% of its purchase price back now on 5 !
  9. Now 4 and close to a 5th, we did have to take a 2007 Seat Leon FR in px £500 ..... It's had a hard life.
  10. The only thing I find with surveys is the data can be manipulated, Ok 30% might not know but that means 70% do. Most of our business comes from the web with the main leads being autotrader and Google, it varies to which comes out on top. Our cars are only advertised on autotrader and on our website. our location means we don't get much general traffic driving by the front but we are right next to a gym and in the last few weeks we have had maybe 3 people drop in. I feel we could do more but for various reasons we don't. Maybe I should fire questions at mr Reid
  11. i find the tdi pretty flat and lifeless, the 2.0tfsi does go really well !
  12. With regards to stock cover can you buy top up cover ? So if you had 100k of stock but then wanted to increase it to take into account a sale or return car valued at 100k are there companies out there that would specialise in it ?
  13. Our broker (Unicom) are terrible in getting back to you. I put everything in an email so I have a paper trail. They requested copies of licences which I've sent and they still haven't confirmed they have them, so I'll have to call and resend again. does everyone use a trade insurer to cover everything or do you take out various policies for test drives and moving, then to cover stock and buildings etc.
  14. I think it's type of stock more than anything, m cars seem to drop like a stone, we have been lucky in that both the m4 and m5 we have had moved eventually but unless you sell them quickly they depreciate quicker than your margin. i'm off to Edinburgh tomorrow to view an a6, we advertised another a6 yesterday and have had quite a few calls on that today so the phone foes work.
  15. if it's dripping on a driveway then I guess it's a bit more than a drip, I guess you need to minimise the cost and get it in and out quickly before the customer demands a like for like car !
  16. I'd clean it up and send it back to them, given BMW said it was power steering and it's something completely different. How did they find out about it ? Has it been to BMW for a service lately ?
  17. 1 ...... I wish it was 11.
  18. We find ones with nav sell quickly but ones without still sell. It's got the 18" wheels and you really need the black edition 19's. RNS-E can be retrofitted. I would take all the crap out of the advert and take some new pictures. Our z4 sold today, I could do with another 2.
  19. Surely if something is a known issue then that's what the warranty is their for ? If somethings fails even if it's common it's not wear and tear .... For all the hassle main dealers are the warranties do cover a lot ... We had the coil packs replaced on our TT at work and many years after the warranty had expired. i collected an rs4 last week and going through its history it had warranty work on a bank 2 sensor - whatever that is and a new damper and loom, both replaced and the owner didn't even know, that's how it's supposed to be.
  20. Did they write the advert ?
  21. We had a Suzuka grey one that sold in days and another that sold in months. Our last TT which was white took 30 days to sell, there was a bit of interest but not a lot. Ours was white, black edition with heated leather, 2.0tfsi and Stronic have you got a link to yours ? oh and we picked up a z4 on Friday and have had 3 calls about it having listed it yesterday morning, we sold 2 Slk's (5.5's) last week and a e250 convertible in just over 48 hours.
