Are people using click dealer for crm and website or just web/crm. whats an approximate cost for a crm ? I've seen rough pricing to dragon but it's around £250 per month.
-
Anyone got a link to click dealer ?
-
Had the same today with an rs7, wanted 3k off ours and 3k more for his px.
-
Just just get some business cards made up, give them to customers looking to px but say it's a friend who is hard of hearing and can only reply by text or email ... Then quote them a low price at the dealers and bid them higher when you get a text/email.

Does anyone offer any form of drive away insurance ? I've seen Hpi offer it but haven't contacted them yet, does anyone here use it or any other form of drive away insurance ? Is Hpi free to the trader and customer ?

No it doesn't need to be a 4x4 she just liked the height and compactness of the Pinin. There are more rav4's about than Pinins. I do like the A Class it does look a nice car and speaking to our mechanic the ones they have seen have been in good shape. I can also get a newer A Class than a RAV4, I'm not fussed about bodywork, I just want it to be mechanically good with good quality tyres and useable brakes, in fact i usually change the front discs and pads just so I know it's got good quality ones on. Most mercs are diesel though and I would much prefer a petrol but the 170 is rarer.

Nearly all of ours come from the private market, the benefit is you get to meet the owner in their own surroundings and drive the car over a few miles ... The most being 448 after I collected it from Aberdeen, it's a long day, 6am to 1.30am .... Yes the margins are less or are for us and it only works when you are turning over lower numbers but we find the stock needs less work. The stock we pick up from some trader sellers who deal trade to trade usually have issues.

Vitara is a bit too slow

Yes it has to be an auto, the wife misses the old Saab 9-5 auto we had. I would have another but she wants something much smaller, around 4mtr or less. The other option was a merc a class, these are much better inside than either of the plasticky pinin or Rav.
-
I've noticed some of the lower mileage Pinins don't stay on auto trader long, it would be the 2.0 petrol auto we would go for. Rav has more power and seems to be more car like but they never seem to move unless I'm looking at the wrong ones ?

How popular are the likes of Rav4's or Mitsubishi Pinins? I was originally going to look at the Suzuki swift automatic as a cheap run around for the wife but she saw a pinin while on holiday and liked it. i'm aware the pinin rusts underneath and the RAV4 has gearbox ecu gremlins, her office is looking at relocating in August next year and while a £500 banger would be cost effective the Pinins and raves seem to be around 2-4K but what I don't want to do is get stuck with it. Oh and they must be the 3 door.

From what I know it does, but not within 400 meters of the office ....

At least it has a dipstick, nearly all of ours has electronic readings.

Not sure on the insurance as I didn't arrange it, there are two of us and it's not my business. However we do not allow unaccompanied test drives. yes I've read the dvla guide on how plates should be displayed, however many main dealers do not conform to this, even when you see cars being moved on the roads they are put in the rear window or on the dash.

Thanks umesh, I'll pm my email address. I guess back pay on tax isn't so much of an issue, insurance would be my concern, that's next on my things to do, we'll set up weekly updates of the mid now we have changed insurers. I've already started writing procedures and work instructions which although might not serve any purpose might make us look like we know what we are doing !! The dvla seem to be spending quite some time in lay-bys on the a1 around Peterborough to Grantham (308 estate) hence the insurance and tax updates.

I'm aiming to get the person that controls the purse strings to become a little more efficient when it comes to admin, with test drives do you visually inspect the customers licence, take a copy and file it ? (If so for how long) or just not bother ? with trade plates would you just have one set for the office or two sets so you know which person was out on the test drive. At the moment we only have 1 set and as we grow I don't want to be in the position where we cannot offer test drives if the plates are already out. What are the repercussions if a customer is test driving a car without trade plates ? I'm still learning so bare with me !

In order to try and prove we look after our stock do you think something like a weekly checklist would be worthwhile doing ? Something like check fluids, tyre pressures, lights etc and then a 5 minute test drive ? We have around 10 cars in stock at anyone time so it's not a massive issue if it takes an hour of our time and we do have to move the cars between lock up and office for viewings. I'm also going to look at some form of pdi sheet too. We could then use the weekly sheet to prove we regularly checked the cars in the event of any issues later down the line.

We have sold a few v8's and it doesn't seem to put people off. however, I would be happy to pay £500 tax on a £10,000 car but would begrudge paying it on a £1500 banger.

That Range Rover has a discovery dashboard .... Not sure how that will ever appreciate in value.

Ours update automatically

Had a charge back this week (also had a few in a mail order company where elderly people forgot they had purchased something . this one related to a deposit they placed then on day of collection they backed out, they had filled out the finance forms found nothing wrong with the car etc. The card company - well in this instance write to you and give you chance to respond or defend.

Gumtree sold 3, all listed as not suitable for our normal stock, mot for 6-12 months and 3 months warranty. All sold in less than 5 days.

I would have thought so, given most newish ford fiestas probably come from auction anyway. We have had warranty work carried out by BMW dealers (fuel pump "enhancement " on m135i) and also used the service packs, although with the service packs we tend to book them in as if they were our own, however the packs are transferable, Porsche will transfer a warranty private to private but don't like private, trade private.
-
Why would you put a warranty on a 2014 Ford Fiesta ? Surely it's covered by ford until 2017 and is likely to cover more than any aftermarket warranty. If ford do not pay out then there is a chance neither would the warranty company and you may end up footing the bill anyway.
