  1. Try kgf classics in Peterborough, it's the type of thing they sell.
  2. No, because its a waste of time, is sold by main dealers and the owners never top it up as they believe once its applied they never have to wash it again.
  3. Nothing in the last few days, but then I've been to Aberdeen, west coast of Wales and Putney to collect stock
  4. Just been out in the GTR and the 430 went this morning, however they did sell earlier in the week.... got an insignia in stock ....... :(
  5. ok, thats a fair point and the same could be said for the £5 hand car wash or ladies that walk the streets a night, but no doubt for every eastern european avoiding tax and national insurance there is a british person doing the same, you then have larger companies avoiding tax by being based outside the UK. What should come out of this is these people should be targeted but not because of their country of original but from a business perspective. The public sector is always going to be stretched and no doubt it will be stretched some more. The Greeks have another payment coming up very shortly (July i think was mentioned) and if they default that will put further pressure on the EU, since Germany seem keen to bail them out you can see Germans pushing for a referendum and i'm sure there will be others now. Without the UK and Germany what is left of a financially stable EU ? It will be interesting to see what happens in Scotland given most wanted to remain - and Ireland but not Wales ... no doubt Sturgeon will push for another referendum but if they split what does that give them ? they couldn't afford the membership and who' to say they would be asked to join the EU ? Its like keep voting until we get the result we want. If remain had one i would have excepted it and carried on, we need to try and carry on as normal and not get involved in all this doom and gloom, we get enough of that from customers.
  6. What makes you think those 3 will go to the EU ? We still have JLR here in the UK, although they are setting up a factory in India, remember the EU gave money to Ford to move the transit production from Southampton to Turkey, Peugeots Ryton plant was moved by EU funding ... (there are a number of other British manufactures that have moved because of EU funding) What the campaign failed to show was what the positives and negatives were of being with the EU, everything was either centred around immigration or scaring people into financial panic, the stock market drop was always going to happen, it increased yesterday so the drop today was higher than it would have been. I have no problem in saying I voted out, i'm aware of what the consequences might be but also the positives. I would keep certain aspects of the EU but believe financially the EU was screwed, this will probably be the beginning of the end for it and we as a country will be known for either being the start of something good ... or bad. I do think we were moving towards one centralised government controlling everything, at the moment we vote for either conservatives, Labour or UKIp or even the green party. You would vote for which party you believed met your beliefs, with the way the EU was heading you would not get a say in this. I am not a fan of Dodgy Dave but i was reasonably impressed by his speech this morning and on TV at least standing by what the UK has voted for. My only concern is that people have voted purely on immigration reasons expecting foreigners to all be put in a box and sent back .... that should not be the case, people from the EU on lower wages work much harder than "UK" people
  7. I don't think much will get sold in the next few days, I guess the stock market needs to recover over the next few weeks.
  8. Mmmm, mixed donner for me.
  9. On some of the stuff I was looking at it was £1500 over cap, add on £300 for buyers fee and delivery and even if you put in a good offer its still above cap. I've got an insignia coming in tomorrow I might whack that on and see what interest we get.
  10. Thats the thing though I don't think we would buy something because someone wants something, you then run the risk of paying to much for something you might get stuck with.
  11. Starwood seem to have designed some nice websites.
  12. I'm using carvue at the minute which we are using for invoicing and purchasing. It does calculate the VAT on the margin scheme (you can choose per car) and you can invoice from it. You cannot track sales appointments but you can track sales leads and create customer contact records. It also doubles up as a garage workshop system which we don't really use but from that you can email/text customers. Its not bad, the first month is free then you either go with the basic system, £29 + vat which gives you a bit more or completely unlimited for £59 + vat per month. We have just used the free month and we are now trying the £29 per month to see how we get on. If you hold more than 15 cars or sell more than 15 cars per month then you will need to pay £59. It can work for accounting, it produces orders, invoices, calculates vat etc and does some reporting. Some of it is not that intuitive but i think thats probably me more than the system. Things like you have to input mileages twice, dates default to todays date so if you are trying to add sales from the past week you have to change the date, if you make a change then the date defaults again, you have to put the date in multiple locations too. Its worth registering and having a play.
  13. 2 today - one that we collected Monday, one that came in as a PX yesterday.
  14. Out, I don't think the out campaign have done themselves many favours as everything seems to be focused around immigration or at least thats the way the media portrays it. They seemed to be depicted as the bad guys, however it seems all of the bullying tactics from the current leaders goes un-noticed. They are basically threatening people if they vote out everything is going to increase in cost. How do they know that ? nobody knows, the only thing for sure is if we do vote out Mr Cameron will use it as a convenient excuse to up the cost of living. I think yesterdays paper said something like the average shopping bill will increase by £550 a year, that just shows how much we import. Maybe if we give our farmers and fisherman a chance we can produce more within the UK and become self sufficient and create more jobs. I don't really have an issue with EU immigration, just as many people come in as go (well almost) but the majority of those coming from the EU are hard working (who wants to pick vegetables in a field or wash cars in December) and deserve the work. The EU has done good things for workers rights, however for employers its bloody hard work to sack someone thats lazy and crap at their job. I think more is to come from the EU and us leaving could be the beginning of the end of it, nobody with the exception of ourselves and Germany are very secure, Italy, Spain, Greece are all in Financial meltdown because of the Euro. One other thing that is annoying is the murder of Jo Cox, sad though it is other people are taken away from there loved ones all the time but none get the publicity that this case does, i wonder if the murderer had been an IS fanatic would the same publicity be given to it ? People should vote on what they want and not based on immigration as thats a separate issue from outside the EU, i don't like Farage but i'm not voting for him, i'm voting about Europe, the same as if I wanted to stay, it wouldn't be because I liked Cameron or his views but because i believed it was the right thing to do. We import more than we export but if people think Audi or BMW are going to stop selling to the UK and pull out then they are mistaken, if they put import duties up then so should we. Besides a drop in new car sales and people switching to used cars would be welcome.
  15. hmmmm, just had a look at their site .... BMW 4 series, everyone is a great deal or even good deal ..... but some have been there for 100 days .... surely these great deals don't mean anything then.
  16. what i find with most of the modern cars with parking sensors is that they interfere and drive you mad, i'm not sure i would like to stick them to the front of a number plate either for fear of them flying off.
  17. I think the trade plates should cover the VRM, however i just put one on the dashboard. sometimes we forget to take the dealer show plates off the front and have driven by a police car .......
  18. You log into the connect system to change details, Gabriel for reporting and i think its chrysalis for invoices ....
  19. Ok i know its not Autorola's fault but i've been scanning the cars listed for a few months and we still haven't purchased anything from there. Today i've picked a couple of cars and then found them on Autotrader. First a Citigo, listed at £5900 plus fees (yours for £6000 if you buy it on Autotrader) and then an S5 £17500 plus fee's (yours for £17995 if you buy on Autotrader) Now I know people are out to make a living but given the pricing do they ever manage to sell anything ? I like the idea of Autorola and the pricing isn't there fault but do any of the cars ever sell ? Are there any other sites similar to Autorola where decent cars are advertised ?
  20. How good is Pistonheads ? We have a GTR that we are advertising for a local customer and while we are getting interest on Autotrader i still don't think its the right car for that site. Its being sold as a private sale because its not something we would normally buy, the current owner doesn't have the time to sell it and test drives and insurance are a bit difficult for the average private customer.
  21. our SQ5 left us this morning, I have a test drive booked on a GTR this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to that.
  22. If a car doesn't have a service pack you can add them .... But .... It has to be paid for before its first service and it's not at the same price as when new but it is still a bit cheaper
  23. https://www.bmw-service.co.uk put the registration number in and the mileage, it will then tell you if the car has a service pack. It won't tell you it's history. There is another one for mini.
  24. I assume everyone knows how to check if a BMW has a service pack ?
