Some ads are quite entertaining, do they realise professional dealers are bidding? It’s not bloody eBay! A gem from today! ”Seems to drive fine, no warning lights, no strange noises, all seems very good but please be realistic this is a 200,000 mile 10 year old Range Rover and we haven't put it through the workshop. Good luck, just imagine how much this was new and think about just how much car this is for peanuts.”

I stopped using card machines a while back and really don’t regret it, most people have the banking app, so they can directly transfer a deposit or even full cost, just keep a few card readers from the most popular banks in the desk drawer. main reason I stopped with the card machines was the amount of attempted and couple of successful fraudulent transactions from customers, and the total lack of back from the banks, it’s lose for us and win for them

I’ve wondered for a while now when they will go online only, collecting a car from any bca now is an absolute nightmare, unhelpful staff, can’t find car, then when you do find it has no fuel or a dead battery, terrible customer service from bca all the way

Dealer Auction - Any better now?
Wheelerdealer1 replied to Wheelerdealer1's topic in General Dealer Chat
maybe we need a separate thread for which DA and Sytner dealers to avoid, I can safely say I will never bid on any Sytner cars based at ANY wales dealer -

Yes I have done it myself, don’t get me wrong most of the punters are good folk not looking for a confrontation, but these days I wouldn’t like the thought of the nasties knowing where me and my family slept at night

Dealer Auction - Any better now?

Wow just wow. Does it surprise me or any other legitimate dealer on this thread that punters are this thick ? No. That’s because most buyers only care about the price, not the car or the guy / gal selling the car, ultimately as has been said many times here, there is no such thing as a bargain, there will always be a catch. Be careful out there.

I think motors.co.uk add cars to FB market place for you, or as others have said just make personal account and list cars. Although I think the algorithms have changed somehow as I’m getting only a few hundred views now, however when I first started listing it was more like a few thousand and also many enquires on FB messagener

Hi all I am thinking of signing back up to Dealer Auction after leaving last year, for anyone who still uses it has there been any changes to the terrible descriptions and unhelpful dealers ? Any feedback appreciated Thanks WD

Collected a sytner car yesterday and got chatting to a guy we deal with regularly, he was saying traders are giving their logins to private buyers who are logging in and bidding then turning up with high expectations, it’s well known and apparently they don’t know how to stamp it out( sure) hence the large amount of non collections and relisting cars, even he had noticed many cars going well over Reserve
