  1. The phone up to confirm is a load of rubbish. I asked them once "whhat if the bid was made accidentally or my account hacked what would you do?" They replied it would be down to you to prove you bidded accidentally or account got hacked. I have been saying this all along bca have too many petty processes ie phone to confirm - when all these employees who do this daily could be doing something else. They even phone to confirm purchases in the hall. What is the point of this when they then put it on you to prove you didn't bid?? Are we supposed to get Bill Gates to help out with some IT tracing? Let them suspend it and then re register at another branch. If you got someone else on your trade insurance then re register under their name. Not surprised at some of the replies here. Too many treat bca like god. If they didn't then bca would behave.
  2. Drug dealers... Scammers and con men They can afford to pay it. As long as they get a bit of paper saying where they bought a motor... Then sell it at a loss... And top it up with some drug money they not bothered mate. Cars are always the easy way to wash dirty money Then you got your dreamer dealers who dont check prices and bid because they think they can flog it for even more...
  3. When they say shit like this you know they're talking shit
  4. Old milfs, gilfs and grandads are loaded and will only buy cash. The spoilt brats of the above may be given a handout too Everyone else falls into "lend us a tenner" group
  5. Fishy to me... Get that done for less than £200 depending on service type. With plenty of gsf codes at 60% Hmm
  6. In the earlier days it was met but in the later stage it was various as I did management so i would be chucked around from essex to South yorkshire. I agree that punters might go mad about them as most think they're supercharged
  7. Am only sharing my 30yrs experience and 15 of being commander of chief in some of the elite cars
  8. That applies to the "ladies" as well especially the bumps and scrapes A lot of plod cars are now coloured for unmarked used. A lot of response and traffic cars do have basic seats because leather and half leathers cost a lot more for the public purse. Remember the old s60 and v70 they had the ugly looking grey cloth seats which werent really available in public spec cars which had eithee full leather or half leather. Having said that a lot of crims do use high performance cars so plod now have S3"s and Imprezas Golf R's etc which are public spec and since they're used as unmarked cars not many have tons of computers in them. One cop show had a BMW 130i They're not driven in "anger" i can assure you that too. A lot of driving can be done in 3rd gear ie depending on the car you can do 15mph in 3rd gear and get up to 50/60 as well. Whilst some may say not good for engine you're not dipping thw clutch again and again. One idiot i knwq changed gears in his Meriva every 5mph so by 25mph /30 he would be in 5th gear then drop if down to 4th 3rd etc when he slowed down. Am like "how often do you change ze clutch Senor?"
  9. BCA wolves isnt too far from the M6 motorway I believe wont you be better off stopping at motorway services? Otherwise it will be difficult sticking a truck in a local hotel
  10. They're usually bought with half of a dashboard so all the computers can be put into the car (hence you see the T5 Volvos with after market stereos and odd plastic trimmings) The cars come cheaper this way. Otherwise the cop shop mechanics could keep the standard units and dashboards and reinstall them when they sell the vehicle Then you got the wiring issues. Nowadays the blue lights can fit into the actual headlights themselves....so you can imagine how the wiring would be.... The cars are maintained to a good standard i can assure you that. But i think that service history never comes with the car when it's auctioned off. Apart from the fact most cars have had good 2nd and 3rd gear thrashing the cars arw driven much better than "one lady owner" (seriously would you buy a car from one lady owner who crunches the gears...and stalled it many times with Lots of bangs)
  11. Why dont you choose to? Why do you want cash only? Scenario: You got a V50 for sale at £6k and Joe Bloggs can buy it out no worries. Then you got an A4 estate at £14k a red one that has had a little interest in 9 weeks. Joe Bloggs says "i can only afford £6k if finance was available I would love that A4". In fact he leaves and wants an A4. In another instance you got the A4 for sale and and Mr Cash can afford to buy it. However he sees you got another motor he fancies more at £7k. Do you see the issue? You got one man that can afford upto £14k another one is limited but can afford monthly repayments. Like some others have said having finance can be the deal breaker. PS some people buy stuff on finance so they can build their credit history
  12. I do a fair bit of diy and Screwfix and Toolstation sites mention a lot of good reviews on Titan products. Both sites do provide comprehensive reviews on various products - always read the reviews and some of the negative reviews too!
  13. Thank you will do. Love cars that have a lot of online support.... Its a common issue and some chappie said its a broken wire(s) in the boot loom. And there it was... Now i need some 50p insulation tape Another chap posted jaguar quoted him £49.95 for key programming in 2013 that was... Dont think I will get lucky twice
  14. Stuck with a mind boggling one...the boot open message is displayed on the display yet the boot is fully closed. The boot only opens with blade key however and not the button by the drivers door or the button on the boot lid The damn key is knackered and i will need a new one. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a new key and programming in Nottingham surrounding areas Cheers
  15. Know a cabbie who worked very hard since 1970s... Did about 40+ Christmas' he toppled his cab last year and bought another one... Lasted 12 months and died recently. Yep he worked the morning to evening shift was at home for 4 hours then died! Worked about 12 to 18 hours a day for donkey years If you're never going to see the money why work so hard...
  16. Live to work Or Work to live
  17. Dont know if Currys still sell the above mentioned ones I remember they used to do that extra guarantee for £20 that covers it for 3 years. If there is a fault take it back and get a brand new one upto same value. And it was unlimited times too. Dont know if this gurantee is still about. Argos do soemthing similar as well It basically protects your £££
  18. Or you end up in hospital with lack of sleep. I always say work smarter not harder
  19. When forum members say good luck to newbies sometimes I wonder do they mean good luck from the bashing on the forum from a selected few Well he does want someone for a grand to do all the donkey work for the expansion to a bigger site... Is that a grand before tax or after
  20. Before you all have a go at me and say "I told you so".... Yes I do know BCA have some good points... Anyways bought a car with no v5 and no service history about 2 weeks ago (originally came with a blank service book) and today received a present from BCA in the post... Service book with lots of stamps in it all the way upto 120k! They hadn't called me or anything it just got delivered. Edit: Edit again:
  21. Guessing he means picking the right stock unlike the OP and wasting valuable storage space (driveway)... Selling bad cars and bangers woulf annoy your neighbours too... Like xfs mentioned sell cars to older people that dont give you hassle. When they turn up they won't be effing and blinding so the whole neighbourhood hears them... Park across someone elses drive and then rev the bollocks out of the banger you're selling... Plus there's the benefit of working by appointment....choosing his hours...and not doing 120hours a week like the rest of us! Manchester on Weds had a 2007 VW Caddy with 70k odd on it... Cap clean £2k... Hammer price £3650.... And AND It had no v5 !! Each definitely to their own
  22. £18,000 - one Audi A3 £5000 = four cars £1800 = 10 motors £180 = 100 bangers from a variety of vendors Rather buy 100 bangers make £150 = £15k Quick cash
  23. The opening line is a big turn off...."you will not find one cheaper" Photos have too much light reflection and some people may think the bodywork has marks all over it...
