  1. £2k plus White car black wheels and tins....council estate chav He's the type to come round everyday with faults on the Mini... He wont get it fixed. He'll flog it.
  2. I was given silver locally but another branch's babe said she can put me on gold. Manheim are gay. They told me if you got a bca gold we'll put you on the equivalent level or else start from scratch. How on earth does their business model work? Mannheim fees are plus vat aren't they? They work out a little bit more...
  3. Not worried. We'll get food and water. (And no it wont be £50 for a litre of water or £80 for bread. EU needs the UK e.g. our security services are better than the rest. Everytime France has a terror issue its our boys in blue that help out, the French are useless). People in war torn countries dont get food or water. Not fussed at all about brexit. Hand to mouth at the moment so couldn't care less if i be rich or not. And am sure most of you lot have a good bank balance. Enjoy the wealth whilst you got health or you might be like Lucas' trainer coughing blood at 75 whilst running a car lot. That's what Teresa May and co want from you...so they can get a massive inheritance tax off you when you die. Don't want to sound like a moan bag but it's true. Ask yourself 10yrs ago who was alive. In 10yrs we might be dead. Enjoy the £££ boys and girls.
  4. That's a question you should put forward to manufactures. As stated, in the service book the vast majority of parts that are REPLACED are not listed in the service book...and i mean the service book that comes with the car from the manufactures. Some customers insist a car has not been serviced properly if there is no service book and some moan about main dealer service history. As stated above you can have the glory stamps at every 8000 miles but that doesn't and i repeat DOESN'T show the items that receive a battering such as clutch, shockers, links, cv etc have been replaced UNLESS there are additional paper invoices to prove this... I hope that clarifies it for you
  5. Deal no deal i don't care Just want tweezer maybo gone. She's ugly she's a pathetic liar. At least Cameroon had more charisma... Get rid of the witch
  6. Nope it isn't. It's not serviceable. It's replaceable yes but you cannot open it clean it and put it back together helping it to have a long life. Whereas an engine yes you change filters and oil that help run the engine smoothly and contribute towards its longevity. A gearbox is only partially serviceable; yes you can change the gearbox oil but you can't service the synchros that get shagged daily. Brakes are fully serviceable. Exhausts and driveshafts etc are not. They're all replaceable. Certain things are replaceable only. I always tell my arsey customers this when they moan about not fsh... The service book particularly the stamped section only talks about fluids and filters nowhere there is the mention of the heater matrix, clutch, bushes, cv joints etc I am a jobsworth i know.... But it helps when you know the nitty gritty
  7. In the UK we dont always use English like the Aussies and US counterparts...they say they have the correct version... At my last council I told an Aussie colleague I may go to uni and be a doctor...or might sell cars... She replied "you want to be a used car salesmen? USED car salesmen?!" This occasion, for this topic, the Aussies and Yankees are right. If we call ourselves USED car salesmen AND this was nationalised it will be obvious the cars are used. Otherwise our punters will rearrange the word "used" into "sued" - sued car dealer (We are sued car dealers atm) lol
  8. My view on condition and fair wear and tear is simple: Cars are like babies. 2 healthy babies born over the years they both live different lives. One eats junk and is lazy another is lean and clean. They both can have mechanical breakdowns (broken arms etc) due to carelessness or through accidental damage. Certain parts in cars arent serviceable and conditions can depend on this e.g. a clutch isnt serviceable. Some people use it too much some people use it little as often and this could be gentle or hard. Like some have said its open to debate and the debate depends on the chairperson (judge). A judge could say "if Audi only provide a 3 year warranty on the entire vehicle and this includes this gearbox, the vehicle has had a 60,000 mile wear and tear, which i have to take into consideration. If the manufacturer who produced the vehicle and assembled all components together for the end product only provides a 3 year warranty and the vehicle is now 6 years old i am under no obligation to insist the retailer, Mr Mike Brewer, should provide a warranty to reflect the warranty of major components for any longer than the statutory period Mr Brewer is required to. A warranty of x months was provided however the vehicle was operational for x months and has been driven for 8000 miles by the customer. The case is dismissed"
  9. My 7th sense told me old boy will retire and he will let you take over pitch I did think that... Especially when you said you open on 1st Feb.... He was a die hard.... Did 55yrs in the trade and is one of them old farts that what the UK govt likes.... A person working into their death...
  10. 14 Jan today. You got 2 weeks training. And you will do the prep work for your pitch and go to training. You sound like someone on The Apprentice that programme ran by Alan Sugar coat... Clearly haven't got your diary/ planning in order Fail to plan = plan to fail
  11. Probably some app on your iPhone Log into outlook via web browser on your phone and then download. See if it Thats different
  12. That was many years ago when a council job was for life and there wasnt much dodgy business about. Nowadays councils are down to 1 or 2 ts officers then they got counterfeit goods to deal with and there's hell a lot of them...they can seize such items and that makes publicity. A figure here and there at Max Brannings car lot is not juicy work no more... That lemon is squeezed dry
  13. Dont be a jobsworth. Online costs more = you can charge more. On pitch screen price is less because its free advertising. Tell trading standards that if they ask you. Per car on Autotrader you pay £400... You're package is 2000 last month you sold 5 so that's 400 per car... Plus you advertised it twice in 2 months = more costs... Mr Jobsworth TS Officer wont ask you for your breakdown of Autotrader package
  14. Sounds like a massive at Camberley with headless chickens running around
  15. Shuttle bus? And are the keys kept in this remote area? What if its the wrong key or it dont work? Shuttle bus to main site? Sounds more like pain blackbushe does. I got happy about it with the public transport links but shittybus has put me off. Im in west London its a 20 min drive but i have no one to go with so its likely a train into central then back out again. Rather stick to the lovely northern sites
  16. You're both right...but when those systems go tits up... You've had it! Sole job of a stereo is to process sound. Yes i sound boring but current technology and future technology is shit. They can easily fuck up and when they do people dont want to pay more than the actual unit to repair it. Funny world we live in where repairing costs more than manufacturing
  17. Many years ago when stereos were popular i had a lidl beauty it wasnt that bad...the outputs in the speakers...the stereo just gives you the input
  18. I need a cheap car stereo to replace my double din cassette player (yes cassette) in my 2006 transit van! I know lidl used to sell some for 20 or 30 quid does anyone if they still do or if there is somewhere i can pick one up from? Cheap as chips Option 2 is i know a garage that has vw stereos but i will need a code. Where can i get a cheap code from? Got a drive to London tonight and the radio is boring and the bluetooth fm transmitter things give you a headache and crackle
  19. Ebay is worse than gumtree. I remember i had someone bid last minute and he then said i thought the car is in Nottinale when its Nottingham. He even said thats a place in scotland near him. No such place on the map. Even selling small items on ebay is a pain. People bid then they want to cancel after auction finishes with excuses like wrong colour sex size etc Ebay are rubbish on clamping down time wasting bidders. 10 or 15yrs ago it was a different
  20. I have had people that wantdd to pay part cash and part transfer. Also had those that want to transfer and leave me with the reference number and payment not received in my account... I made someone wait 5hrs and dropped him off home..hour later payment came through... Am always sceptical of electonic payment...cash nowadays is considered money laundering yet if you got cash you know you been paid and 20yrs ago it was all cash and it wasn't money laundering then !
  21. Rule 1 Every time you buy a car always give it a good rummage around... I have found spare keys and seperate fobs as well as service history and of course at auction these are sold without it
  22. Wouldnt say stingy. If it isnt driven much or from the stats given it is likely it wasnt even switched on often its pointless servicing it to the schedule. If you do 500 miles in 4 Years no point doing an oil change especially if these 500 were done in one long trip... Our volvo specialist recommends the timing belt to be changed about 10k later than the recommend date. His business is booming and he knows his stuff. Stealers no doubt push dates so they can keep milking owners
  23. Cyclists do THIS for a living... https://youtu.be/2PFRdEUN240 Wish this big boy dealt with cyclist. He sounds like a runt. Well worth the watch you'll be cracking up
  24. No you dont! Do you? The video quality is epic. I thought it was a basic camcorder... I know that even the basic of cameras are better quality than phone cameras...well in my experience anyway
