Provisional licence on traders policy

I would get instructor pedals then on passenger side. Then he would be in full control. How much will they be? -
Divorces do happen due to lack of family time. Hence a lot of coppers have been married at least twice... I dont how those that work 12hrs a day fit in family time. If you squeeze in family time then you're losing out on your sleep / rest which if you dont get you'll be getting a lot of health problems. This is the life span of a typical man in the UK Pre 20s - doss about at college 20 to 30s mess around with women 30 to 40 find some proper employment as you think you're getting on a bit 40 to 70 you work like a donkey and all you think about is money.... 70+ your half dead thinking you're bored at home with the wife... And you start work again... Albeit you cannot hold your piss in!

Exactly my point. Too many have this "come retirement" mentality yet most work into their graves. Fact is whatever job you do people dont give in they keep at it until long as possible. By "retirement" most people have a lot of illnesses. So you're limited. ( That is if you make it that far. Seen a lot of people die in their 50s and even 40s! ) Plus you spent most of your life with that attitude of work hard... Its embedded in your system and it cannot be overridden! I rather enjoy life now whilst i can. Aiming high is counterproductive. Once you reached the goal... You'll move the posts further away.....its a reoccurring process. Over the years I seen other people and how they knacker themselves out. If you got no health the wealth is no good.

Might sound daft but a mate once said if you dont screw the fuel cap back on properly on a honda civic the engine light comes on after a while due to air getting in... Could this be the case here? (Guessing he filled it up after his purchase unless it already had enough fuel) -
Provisional licence on traders policy
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Pip's topic in General Dealer Chat
Pip would you not be better getting a crappy little runner for her and insure it on your name on a separate policy which would be a few hundred quid for you i guess. And then add her as a learner? I thought it was only like 300 extra for the year for the learner and that's without this 100 days. That way it will be separate from your traders and she can only drive with your supervision anyway. -
Got no mortgage. Got a house. Just need food on the table to be honest. As this becomes the problem. When do you call it a day? But am not putting in the hours like you guys are. Most of you are on 60hours plus a week! So when do you get the time to spend it? With current auction prices... Only way this can be achieved is by increasing your retail... And if that's too high your phone will be dead
-
12 hours... Is not enough to be honest. I want 7 to 8 for sleep. Technically 1/3 of our life we are supposed to sleep. Those that dont and work all hours God sends generally dont last long one way or the other. Working 12hrs a day for 7 = 84 hours a week. Way too much! I just want enough to survive on to be honest. You can live a comfortable life with £2000 a month. Why make all that money? Even in public sector people work into their 70s to "enjoy their retirement" what retirement is there at 70+? You're on your last legs... And you will leave all that dosh for some inconsiderate family members I remember some consultants used to be on £800 per day they stayed for 18 months clearing well over £250k. Yet they drove Ford Fiestas and ate from Greggs. They moaned about their holidays...and the flights and that coffee costs a lot on easyjet!!! Why do you need easyjet when you make £4k a week doing jack all... A couple of first class tickets! Moral of the story is when you make so much you become tight and act like a stingy twat! I rather earn less and live comfortably

I feel like a teacher now with the golden stars. Next time I will think before dishing them out as I have done

That's an excellent idea. My only issue with that is billy might google the code themselves and sometimes the code could be a very small issue but google might show it to be a big issue which the customer will think it's a massive issue and he wants a refund? It will look professional telling them about how to use it a code reader and perhaps provide some instructions as well. Place it in a clear plastic bag and put it in the glove box or in the boot with the other pieces -
F me! I wouldn't do 7 days a week. Your sole purpose of being on earth isnt to work... "You work to live. You don't live to work" I read a review left on AD's AT page. Someone was moaning about AD not being able to do a viewing on a Sunday. AD replied "i work hard for my family and they deserve to spend time with me"

Locking wheel nut removal set / tool?
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Nick M.K.'s topic in General Dealer Chat
Get a multi line socket that is slightly bigger than the nut and hammer it over so it wont come off. Take off the nuts with wrench. Multline socket will be stuck over the removed nut so hammer through it to free the 2 and repeat. 10 minute job for all 4. -
This should be fun. So if you didn't sell cars what you be doing? Another trade? Prior to my planning work at the council I did think about being a doctor and moving to Australia Or what would you like to do instead? (No not everyone enjoys selling cars but like most people am sure there's some of you that just do it as it pays the bills)

MOT before or after sale ?
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Max Branning's topic in General Dealer Chat
Watched it at xmas she's a depressed wreck... Just like her mother -
^^^ If you got it on a spreadsheet wont it be better to do it yourself as you already done the donkey work? As OP says HMRC insist your agent isn't responsible but YOU are. I am not vat registered but do my own tax return. Also make notes on how your agent does it all and then next time you could do it yourself? I dont know how complex vat gets but standard tax return online isnt too bad plus you have help guides for every question. It could save you £2k and give you a better understanding of your numbers and view of your business from a different angle

MOT before or after sale ?
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Max Branning's topic in General Dealer Chat
Hmm yes you're right. For a £1m If a customer left a deposit and you MOT it afterwards what would you do if there is rust or an oil leak that goes down on the MOT? A) think fuck it just give billy the car B ) tell Billy and you know he will be pissed off as you wasted his time C) get a bodge job done on the rust D) or pay your MOT tester pal a tenner so he doesn't mention it on the MOT but a year later Billy finds out the car has severe rust which could not have accumulated in a year since he had it -
Very well said. Plus you should be focusing more on the current market factors; diesel / no diesel / Brexshit etc Last thing you want to do is focus on finance only, you miss out on cash sales, then comes Brexit day and Tweezer Maybo realises she needs more cash then diesel tax is hiked by 500% and diesel cars are worth peanuts and you're stuck. It might sound exaggerated but we live in the UK and it's all unpredictable nowadays. Also my example on diesel could be on any factor or manufacturer. Those that want to climb the ladder quickly always fall down quickly too

Jaguar X type headlight bulb replacement
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to ExCouncilJobsworth's topic in General Dealer Chat
I will go into the dealers. There isnt a milf there (there is in sales) but parts has a plumpy 4 eyed nerd. She'll do Pathetic thing is. Imagine you change the bulb and put it back together and then 20 minutes later it blows again... I adjusted the headlights by the switch and then it died. Wish i never did. -
Any tips on how to replace the drivers headlight bulb on a 2009 x type? I can unclip the rear cover...however there is NO SPACE to take out the cover or drop it! Seriously who the F designs cars that the only way to replace a £2 bulb you will have to remove the bumper and headlight?

Oh my bad. I thought it was a small jump starter. But why not just run the engine every now and again? Wouldn't this suck up a lot of electricity? -
Recommended battery charger for under £100
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
Do they still sell them? And if so what are they called? How long does the CTEK take to charge up and how often does it need a recharge? Cannot seem to find this info anywhere? If you're just starting up cars in your unit wont it be easier to just have a happy shopper euro car parts battery and some jump leads? And charge the battery once a while? -
court Mediation service Help
ExCouncilJobsworth replied to Blenheim Car Sales's topic in General Dealer Chat
I agree with this. Thanks to stupid idiots that have removed the hard shoulder. I broke down once on live lane 3 instantly lost power and missed the stupid layby points created on M1 by 5 metres So i ended up using grass verge and got stuck. Pushing a van on your own from lane 1 into some grass isnt easy as you keep looking behind in fear of being hit!
