The diesel ones 2010 onwards are fine, thanks to having a french unit in them. The petrols on the other hand.....

My last purchase was £3850, on that the fee was £250 (platinum). The sliding scale with fees has always been odd, but the increases in fees we have seen really highlight this.
-
Absolutely. I was looking at old purchase invoices earlier in the year and it's eye watering how these fees have gone up, and because the big boys have put them up the little boys have followed. I imagine DA fees will be into three figures soon enough. Nick, out of interest what type of fees are you paying at your price level? And for that pleasure he's not actually guaranteed that the vehicle will be free of finance at the time of purchase.

To be fair I had a flywheel issue this week and the car is now on it's way back. Not the first time this has happened. Surecheck on the other hand, the words chocolate and fireguard spring to mind.

Amazing how BCA and Manhiem seem to have got away with this over the years, yet we all know what happens when AT do the same thing. We could all do something about it, but nah, we all just bend over a little further.

You would not believe how much things have changed in the last six years. Personally I'd think you'd be mad to get back into it.

Sold quite a few of them. They are pretty much bullet proof. At that kind of money it's a no brainer. -
Well seeing as caralot were once the darlings of these awards, I guess that would be a no. I've got no issue with folk putting themselves forward and 'winning' awards, good luck to you all, but to the good folk of CDM, let's not pretend they are something they are not or better still, let's make make them more credible.

Are you ever HAPPY with your sales figures?

Good post. Although I'm not sure I feel sorry for the old timers, better to have loved and lost than never loved at all. It's also pissing down here! -
Fair play. That's tickled me.

Like.

I used to use it but no matter how 'desirable' it kept telling me a Nissan Micra was, no way in god's earth was I ever going to buy one. My AT guy who is very good by the way, was always putting 'stock turn' before it, and for that information you need i control which is a great bit of kit but obviously costs. I'm sure if you asked you get get it on trial.

It will be ridiculous. Hence why I'll be topping up my tan ( what tan) and ignoring the madness.

Houses, flats, mini supermarket, etc etc. Yes, in a few years time you can bet your arse one of those will be replacing used cars. But no, I don't need a pm or a business card.

To be fair, isn't that a good thing? If only others were more selective.

When I got one for the same purposes the grease monkeys and paint boys were saying go for Angry Jester. Circa £400 is what you need to be spending.

You wait to see what happens in January. As smashy and nicey once said, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Every cloud....

Nah. It will never catch on. Still can't beat a balloon.

Sadly, basically right your right. When I was young and naive I genuinely thought differently, but after seeing crook after crook prosper and in some cases, do some porridge or get a slapped wrist, then come back and prosper again those feelings have gone. And the fly by nights, the likes of caralot, well let's be honest, they are not much better.

As the great Ben Hogan said, "As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round". To be fair that's not a philosophy I've followed over the years but I'm trying to now, within reason. Otherwise, what's the point?

I sell quite a few with that engine and touch wood, have yet to have injector go so I'd be surprised if it was that. https://www.blakoerecovery.co.uk Ring the mobile and ask for Lee. I'm pretty sure he's collecting for me in your neck of the woods early next week so would tie in.

Oh dear. I'm not sure where in God's Country your cars are but the transport company I use can't be far away so let me know if you want their details. Think I'd be getting the ds3 on the proper machine operated by someone who is clued up ( no offence) before I'd be putting injectors in. I had a picasso with the same engine come in on a truck and the aa were adamant it was injectors. Without digging the paperwork out i can't recall what it was but it waa less than £100 at my local main agent.
