  3. best negotiation i can recomend is to always end every sentence with MATE and finally most dudes ask "whats yer best price mate" this is no good at all, better results will be had with "whats yer best last price Mate" let us know how you get on
  4. I think i speak for a good number on here........................ in short NO
  5. there could be 20 reasony why your stock aint selling ............................stocking finance is not going to be one of them
  6. Andy...................... did you have 1 week at it in the trade 10 years ago ???
  7. I know what i want to pay i wont (usually) go over my limit and i dont care who the other bidders are wall or real....................... when i stop biding he can take the number of the wall and see how far that gets him !!!!!
  8. Caveat Emptor..............buyer beware and all that
  9. it will be you covering every aspect of the CRA your customer will be excused all those potentially expensive commitments, He needs to be agreeing to you a near Cap A figure he is willing to take so you are protected

  11. Just signed up, In the great scheme of things £25 is not going break the bank, 1 sale a year and its paid for
  12. Final update......................collected it this morning from a company called "Just Peugeot" near Walsall, great bunch of guys really knew there stuff, I had new clutch, Dual mass flywheel, Thrust bearing, New oils for actuator as well as it being all set up on there diagnostics machines, Works exactly as it should now, I was there this morning for the 1st start up of the weekend the garage them selves having done 2 stone cold starts already, £1200 and i wont get any of that back on the sale price but i will make a big thing on the add and anyone who visits, Its a very salable point, luckily the cosmetics are decent so its not quite the margin i wanted but at least its now working and soon to be on sale
  13. what about changing the address if only to create a new V5c.........................change the address to my address was mentioned previously on here, that means i get the new v5c to my address without registering another owner then then i can use the brand new doc ref numbers of the newly issued V5c to follow the normal retention processes ????
  14. This was auction purchase rather than PX yes you are right ifi t was PX i would have made sure it came to me on age related plate Car is taxed ( by me and showing as such) so how can the car not be showing an owner by DVLA, my idea was to tax it it already had MOT and has insurance and then do the plates all online to put it back to age related plate
  15. I am in Wolverhampton and the private plate is ending WBA this is a abbreviation for West Bromwich Albion (WBA), A rival football team, I just wanted an aged plate to take away any stigma it may have for a Wolverhampton Football team fan purchasing a WBA football fans car ?? maybe i am overthinking it, I agree i can easily cover costs to pay for there transfer or retention
  16. just to update It seems the owner has sent of the top right corner of the V5C thus putting the car "into trade" and this in turn means technically there is no owner for this car currently and without an owner the whole process of things you can do with a private plate come to nothing just been on a Chat service with the DVLA and no V317 will work no change of address will work there is nothing you can do while this vehicle has no owner, This should normally have been done prior to it going into trade i guess owner had no sentimental value to this plate and they decided to save the £80 for retention Buggar !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Visited 3 Peugeot specialists on Wednesday and gave the work to the one i thought had the greater understanding of my issue, Owner of the company has 25 years of Peugeot experience there workshop was full of 10-16 plate Peugeot and upon hearing of my issue he said Clutch and flywheel......................... he then said lets put on the diag and came back with a report with fault codes, I did not understand them but he said again its the Clutch and flywheel, Anyway we agree to give him the work and they call me on the Thursday that they now have the bell housing off and i should pay them a visit to look, The clutch is toast and the DMF is one of the worst they had seen and this was worn away to nothing, This other things was worn in a particular way i was there looking at same thing with them and i dont know a good one from bad so i did not have a clue, I did see a load of micro dust fillings however in the bell housing and he said the only way that could get there was from something going wrong on the clutch or DMF, Long Story short, Its a £1200 job for DMF and LUK Clutch and many hours of labour and then setting up, They did say that the working of the Actuator and the other mechanisms that go on to make the ECG gearbox was it looked all in good working order, Oil in reservoir for gearbox and no splits in the hoses supping the oil, Not yet got it back but will report when i do, Fingers crossed and all that
  18. Well done Rory, well deserved !! It only quiet then in the places with the wrong stock profile and the cheeky prices

  20. that sold quick............................maybe he is on to something doing it this way
  21. i got rid of an overage car and took the Peugeot in as a PX, Gave £2800 for it not thinking it had issue, going to Peugeot specialist in my area today to have a chat, hopefully he fills me with confidence and i think his workshop team will hsve a good grasp as to my problem without costing the earth, I will report back on this one
  22. Brave people on texts and mails who ask me for last price always get the standard reply. "Call me i have good news" Good news is car is still available if they ask. But at least now you have them on a phone not on a weaker text or mail inquiry
  23. I read it might be the actuator and it kinda makes sense. I plan on getting it over to specialist after bank holiday. I have read if you leave it ticking over 15 min then try this works ???. I will have to try this. Currently its lifeless in my unit.
