  1. It’s an easy fix but parts unavailable anymore (one gaiter, one seal - Jeep can’t help ) Thanks Simon - I’m currently enjoying a healthy run, much awaited. imperial-marques.co.uk I consider nicking my ideas the highest form of flattery
  2. Thank you Simon, nice words and probably the reason I will never be a millionaire
  3. I thought you were flying because you've been quiet lately. You've got some nice kit, just had a look
  4. Trouble is when you are busy (and anything like me), it takes ages to catch up on all the unread posts. It is a real sanity checker this site.
  5. I thought you have thousands of McVans up your way
  6. OCD as well then NOA? Really does bug me; that plus a lack of commas or too many commas.
  7. You get a choice of numbers. I went for a local area code and one that was fairly easy to remember. Cost is negligable
  8. I have VOIP with BT and as NOA says, it is brilliant - make and receive calls using a virtual landline from my mobile. After hours, I still have my mobile for personal use but the business caller only gets to the out of hours voicemail, which if they leave a message I return the call during sensible hours, stops screamers ruining your Friday night. Great for differentiating between business and social calls.
  9. I have recently stopped writing long-winded paragarphs waxing lyrical about each car, instead it reads (for example) 2010 (60) VW Scirocco 170 GT Manual 1 Previous Owner 163,000 Miles Full Main Dealer History 12 Months MOT 19" Alloys Air Con Cruise Control etc and then end with 2 Orginal and Working Remote Keys. This, plus the photo and video is more than enough IMO. I hate reading, so bullet points is the way forward as far as I am concerned.
  10. I thought that but I am quite happy that my T&C's are fair and transparent.
  11. My T&C's, in case anyone is interested. By signing this document, the Buyer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions I have been provided with a Warranty by the Seller and understand the General Terms and Conditions, limitations and claims process explained to me by the Seller and as detailed in the separate Warranty handbook. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that routine maintenance and periodic vehicle checks are performed in accordance to manufacturer's guidelines. I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that I have made provision for adequate vehicle recovery, breakdown and loan vehicle cover and I further understand that these items are specifically excluded from any Warranty offered by the Seller. I understand that any remedial works resulting from a claim for vehicle failure under the Warranty offered by the Seller is on a Return to Base basis, unless specifically agreed in writing by the Seller prior to said works being performed. I confirm that my part exchange vehicle is owned solely and entirely by me and that it is free of any outstanding or pending finance or any outstanding or pending insurance claims. I understand that the Seller accepts no responsibility for consequential losses or costs.
  12. If it is working for you, I wouldn't change. It stopped working for me, so I changed. A massive risk yes but so far I have had my second best month and already have a few deposited during April. EMP, FB and Google for me. Total bill around £400 p/m for at least 13 cars (more on FB).
  13. 100% right in my experience TV. Everyone has said, seen your car on Google, Facebook, CarGurus or EBay. I wasn’t expecting it by dropping AT but just today I have had three walk ons (sold to two of them) and one appointment (Sold). The place is buzzing and I never got local traffic from AT.
  14. To be fair, the last lot just said "we have been looking for ages." Perhaps that is why.
  15. Post AT divorce - 2 sold and gone and 3 dippers taken, could be a great Month if it continues. I had to turn two other people away as I was laready dealing with a walk on (who bought) and an appointment who arrived early (and bought). Time of the year, Ebay or FB - who knows?
  16. Best I have paid was £80 but ususally £120 mate
  17. I did this last month on a car with no new keeper supplement - straight through by adding (a 9 or a 1) infron of V5 number.
  18. Re: Firefighter - I would be having that up at £3,990 to start and dropping to £3,490 if no news after 4 weeks. Worst case £2990 - money back. Leather and mileage will help that sell and yes, the axle is a very common issue. I look at your site quite often Simon, you've been a big help to me - so it's good to track others progress and I saw this - they fetch a fortune at the block, that's for sure. I would be getting the B pillar back tinted out and that will (IMO) make a big difference because at the moment, it looks like a greenhouse trimmed in chrome. I had the exact same spec (but 118 D sport in black), on a 59 plate, 1 owner similar mileage - went for £6,250 in 26 days hammer to bank. Drew a grand nett from that even after fitting DMF and clutch.
  19. I sell more 1 Series than any other car. What's the reg (pm me if you like)
  20. TV32 - I fully expected to go crawling back to AT in 3 months but based on this months business (as in busy ness), I am no longer fully expecting to, but keeping an open mind.
  21. Stock total around 16-18 cars, sold 10 (7 gone, 3 deposit). Last 2 were 1 x CarGurus (free package only) and 1 x Google search for used cars. To be fair AT was still live for the first 3 weeks of the month and I am hopeless at asking people where the leads derived. Having said that and there can be many reasons, it has really picked up, my phone rings regularly and there is a general buzz of activity, cars in, PX in, cars out etc - gone a little crazy busy to be fair and I like it.
  22. I will stick £20's in your knickers Dean
