  1. My thoughts precisely. Will leave him to argue with the mirror from now on. 'You Talkin' To Me?!....'
  2. Most of my sales are ebay MP ( I am not with Autoraper) and I do not sell high mileage or particularly low value cars. Ten grand, low mileage Mini last week for example and Ten grand Qashqai this week.
  3. Absolutely. However, sometimes a spade has to be called a spade & sometimes a Hen is actually a Cock. Plus one. Another vote from me for Nick and Simon. Have never met either or even spoken to either, but their selfless help on here is admirable- as well as their politeness and tone.
  4. Indeed he does, but has been quiet the last week. I have heard from him this morning and all is well/things are ‘afoot’ mate(s). I have told him to keep posting. He says he will soon.
  5. Absolutely. Will likely be less grief too! Have a cat S PX Ford at the moment. I don’t like doing them on the whole, but the phone has gone mad for it.
  6. Thanks mate(s). (Where is Lucas BTW? Don’t think he’s posted for a few days :0(
  7. For balance: what about ‘biggest loss’? Coincidentally, I remember a 4K loss on a Mini Cooper S (plus various 3k losses on German crap over the years inc. Auto multi-tragic gearboxes)
  8. Have you tried logging out on all devices? Then close and reopen the browser and log back in? This is how my edit button came back after Rebecca’s ‘tweak’. Still no like button for me though but I’ve not tried the above again as my devices in different locations.
  9. So, have been doing videos for a while now (YouTube embedded on the website etc), but I notice that, as a customer viewing them, the default view setting isn’t really HD enough, as defaults to 360 whatevers, rather than 720 or 1080. Obviously, even I know to click the settings wheel and chose a higher def setting, but I’m not sure the customers do this. My question is, is there a way to have the higher setting auto default?
  10. I've been considering this for quite a while. There is a potential opportunity with a long established workshop that's next door -where the owners are at retirement age. It's just weighing up the pros and cons (large investment of my time more than anything). Quite a bit of time I can give- all of my time I can't.
  11. Same here. Were one of my main-stays and couldn't get enough (particularly Auto Exec's). They seem priced wrong now, as in too high- plus I think they look a bit dated compared with a Sportage or Qashqai. Happens to most things. You've just gotta ride the wave until just before it breaks. Once they become cheaper, they'll be good news again like a decent MK2 is now.
  12. What price ranges etc out of interest?
  13. You legend! Well done Simon indeed! I take my hat off to you. In the old days (yawn) it was regularly ten over a weekend, but this is pre-internet proper. A couple a day and I’m ecstatic. One a day and I’m happy. More like one or two a week at the moment here though still.
  14. Bizarrely I also have come across this obstacle recently where punters are madly impatient. For the past 20 odd years I’ve done it the same way you do and it’s worked out well for everyone. I’ve not lost a sale (well I do remember one last year but he was an idiot anyway). It’s just modern society where everything has to happen ‘now’. So I am going to start mot’ing them first I think on any new stock that comes in from now on. The other reason why it is a good idea I think is because more and more punters look online at the current and previous mot and get odd about advisories If they need doing again then so be it.
  15. We still shake their hands etc. You just do it at their place. I send my Sunday guy on these jobs mostly as he’s semi retired and likes to go on these travels.
  16. Off topic, but how was the Great Go Cart Challenge mate(s)?
  17. Genius as always Nick. I’ve just ordered one too, as was getting really cross with old one not being able to charge a flat battery unless it had power in it/on it! Aghhhh! £68 delivered and Amazon Prime.
  18. This is /was all part of our Click Dealer website service. It’s only happened a couple of times though -where they paid a reservation fee. They always at least email or message via the website or ads, so I removed the pay option. Reserve car is still there.
  19. Not sure my tow rope would have been quite long enough! This is what you get for enjoying yourself mates ;0)
  20. Thanks mates. Same here if you ever have any doom on the South Coast of course.
  21. :0) Least I know who to ask for a mechanic if she has any trouble with the junk.
  22. New message from: ***** (39) Hello I am very interested in the Automatic Mini I have two questions Does it have a sunroof and sat nav Would you accept £9000 as that was my budget I can pay immediately and I also would like to use your delivery service Could you call me on *********** May thanks Vanessa ******** Had this Ebay message yesterday early evening. Called her and qualified. (Has she seen the video etc) Lovely lady in her late 60’s in Hereford Questions answered (clearly showed sunroof and Nav in listing/pictures but hey-ho). Deposited and delivery arranged (at her expense) for the weekend. Happens quite often. I don’t think it will ever be the norm or the main way of purchasing (not for used anyway but maybe new?) Gotta embrace it.
  23. So, three months later another fault. Still no right to reject. Am I right in thinking you’ve had this car from that three month date (whenever that was)? What did you say and do at that point in regards to communication with her? (This is where communication by email or letter is always good with a screamer.) To me, I guess I would have been p’d off but would have begrudgingly put another engine in the junk or part refunded her if poss.
  24. I’m still struggling with this and why you feel so on the hook. What proof does she have of contacting you with the later issues after you initially returned it fixed? You can claim costs but need to put them in before the case goes any further I think. To me and any reasonable person (hopefully and probably the judge included) will see you did the honourable thing and fixed it. If it then had a different fault months down the line, and she didn’t contact you then that is unreasonable behaviour. The car is clearly worth less now (fixed) than it was when she bought it.
