Mediation sounded quite short, I would have thought an hour isn't enough time. Did you have any legal representation with you at the time? Its a shame you couldn't come to a conclusion, as going to court will cost more, and if your chances don't look good, is it really worth it?
-
to the OP, get legal advice first, and if you have a chance take a good solicitor with you during mediation. I had to do mediation (separate issue with a builder) and my solicitor was invaluable. Get proper legal advice.

I use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glosstock-Ltd-CarPET-Hair-Remover/dp/B001CG85E4?th=1 It will take time to clean unfortunately

I would also make sure the right person gets the refund.

A program which is HMRC compliant is needed, or some sort of conversion software, if you use MS Excel or similar.

Pay us first

Andy, just go with the agent and recover your goods. The Landlord or whoever cannot take them. Its a commercial building so the Landlord has to serve a notice then he can send recovery agents/bailiffs

Looks good Arfur, keep up the good work
-
Make the appointment with him, you'll soon realise if he is a time waster if the silly comments start coming. If he/she is a time waster then sack them off.

I emailed our accountant about this for my other business that I run. He has said it will come into operation form April 2019 (not sure if that's just for my business or everyone). He has said that the software has to be HMRC compliant, but its not clear what that will be. He will be advising me later on this year, because there may be that an Excel spreadsheet plus some sort of conversation software that may work.

Why not get a job (part time preferably) working in a dealership or an independent for a year or so and learn the ropes? See if you can 'buy' some of their PX's or buy some cheap cars, and sell on, make some contacts, learn how to prep etc?
-
Get someone else to sort it. Don't use unreliable people, it never works out!

I am with Mark on this one.

Yeah it sounds like it. I hate people like that.. Still it turned out OK for you.

The Germans are out! -
Enfield prices are high. but you will get a few that are decent. I just bought something for myself which I thought was good value

Low ball them and see how you get on. I would auction it personally.

Hubby wants it - Wifey doesn't want it....
ik1980 replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
I wouldn't sell it to him personally. Not worth any potential aggro. -
I would do what trade vet has suggested and ring the local authority to see if it has been registered as a taxi.

I'm losing patience and tolerance. Advice needed
ik1980 replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
If its any consolation, I've had plenty of idiots and timewasters too Arfur, I'm sure some proper punters will turn up soon. Sterling cars I heard had problems with the VAT man a few years back... I don't know how he is still sane, the amount of tossers he has to deal with must be astronomical! -
An absolute s**t service from BCA Assured
ik1980 replied to Nick M.K.'s topic in General Dealer Chat
Well I managed to get my money back form BCA regarding a E class merc I bought. They are a bit slow though, I was having to chase them, but I got my money back in the end. -
How many chances do you give for viewing?
ik1980 replied to tradegirl's topic in General Dealer Chat
He's a time waster. Just call him and tell him you cannot hold it as you have strong interest in it. If he doesn't reply then just send a SMS. Focus on getting it sold, not chasing time wasters. -
I have got to do a particularly unpleasant Subaru Impreza WRX interior, its one owner from new, but the owner had his dog as his long time companion by the looks of it. It absolutely stinks. You'd think after spending all that money on it he would look after it! I'm not looking forward to dealing with the inevitable test pilots either.
