  1. And the big one, a fault which constitutes fair “wear n tear” is not covered.
  2. IWell surely the whole point of the IMDA should be to help and support ?
  3. Are you a member of the IMDA ? Surely you are ?
  4. Nick, surely this is exactly what the IMDA should be shouting about....
  5. Hi guys, the owner of this Italian gem has had it 5 years wants to just dump it with me and take his new car away (paid upfront) no problem I say ..... He says the only issue with it is that its getting really difficult to get into reverse.... I've Googled it and it seems common...possibly just an adjustment ?? Has anyone got any magic ideas or cures
  6. For the principle of the IMDA to work the leaders have to be voted in.
  7. Not sure if that’s true Nick. Manheim announcement was in September. Mr Northard would have been fully aware of his intentions many many months prior to the announcement. But.. there’s no point on splitting hairs. Too add. I have always wished and continue to wish the principle of the IMDA the very best of luck.
  8. Why advertise something you cannot sell, you just annoy potential buyers. There's a seller in Cheshire who's website shows 24 in stock but its just pages of sold... when you look at his actual stock its only 6 cars.
  9. French door straps are rubbish. Horrible build quality.
  10. I have to agree with Grant. You’ll start with the best intentions to just buy 20k stock and then the inevitable big hit will happen and you’ll start to rethink your strategy. I like your website and you clearly are articulate and enthusiastic. If you are passionate about BMW’s follow your nose, people buy from people who are knowledgeable and passionate. In this game we all do things differently, so when being offered advice cherry pick what’s right for you. At the end of the day you are turning the first page of an unwritten book, you write the story. Best of luck ! Simon
  11. Thanks guys, seems to be working now
  12. Anyone having problems ? I have tried to load on two cars today and its saying both are older than 15 years and cant give a value ? It wont let me log in now......
  13. I say, Mr Customer unless you are buying a new car with a manufacturer warranty then most warranties are worthless IMO. When buying a much older car the CRA2015 covers you against undisclosed faults which were apparent at purchase, however you need to take ownership and responsibility for the care, servicing and repairs of your car because faults / wear n tear which you would expect from a vehicle of its age and mileage are not covered. Something along those lines...
  14. Best.. Videos and only appointing customers who’ve paid an upfront deposit. Getting my unit, no more customers coming to my home. Buying online, saving so much time and effort. Worst. I honestly can’t think of any apart from not learning the first time about buying anything Range Rover. Long time ago...., overfilling my Zippo, lighting a cig in stop start traffic (it exploded) and then crashing into the back of an unmarked cop car... oh and rolling my mums Fiat 128 on the day I passed my test... she didn’t know I’d taken it.. Those were the days...
  15. It won’t just be for this year and then forgotten... the question will still be asked... “Have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled”. Your “no claims bonus” will be either under the business or your name....it can’t be used on both or on multiple policies, that’s why you need to upfront and honest with your insurers or potential new insurers. BTW. I have no idea why my replies are being mixed up...
  16. Everything. I’ve changed a flat tyre and the occasional wiper... nothing else
  17. It won’t just be for this year and then forgotten... the question will still be asked... “Have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled”. Is the policy in the ltd companies name ? If you’ve ceased trading, been liquidated or something else, it’s fundamental to the underwriting of your renewal. You need to tell the insurance company.
  18. It won’t just be for this year and then forgotten... the question will still be asked... “Have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled”.
  19. The question “have you ever had a policy cancelled” is asked by all insurers... They will all want to know why and they all look down on it. I think you’ve bolloxed yourself. Try admitting to a “you’ve had a policy cancelled” and they’ll only know the few insurers which might touch you, just make sure you are sat down when they announce the premium.
  20. I have a CRV which has been looking at me and laughing since last August... Re the Audi, who knows, maybe targets needed to be met for a bonus or complete incompetence...
  21. Common EPV...be confident there's a 3k profit is this one
