  1. On a banger agreed, but on a car with a larger margin yes, plus it’ll sell quick aswell
  2. +1 great selling point, top quality genuine LUK clutch just fitted Mr Customer, here’s the invoice
  3. I’m afraid I cannot excite you in that manor, I’d rather blind myself with a spoon than fix windscreens for a career. You however are claiming to be an expert. Why can’t you show us some of your superior glass fixing jobs, surely you photograph before and after ?
  4. Tom, I actually take it a step further. I personally video the whole service book, describing every service date and mileage, plus show all the receipts for work (if applicable). If I don’t have history it is fully explained in the video. I also show the V5, MOT history, advisory information, the Independent PDI and available keys. I do this to be completely, upfront, open and transparent. I’m not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but my customers are 100% guaranteed no surprises on collection.
  5. I was thinking about a tractor / commercial battery, better and cheaper than a 7 series... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lion-Batteries-Commercial-Battery-125Ah-Type-656-800CCA-OEM-Quality-Replacement/332098711652?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&redirect=mobile
  6. Tom, its because we have all have to deal with illiterate, moronic, cretinous pond life... If your customers are different to the problematic examples of humans discussed please explain why you are different and what you do to ensure you deal effectively and efficiently with customers who can't communicate without a grunting and wetting themselves These people are adults............they should be educated enough to be able to ask formed questions to be able to make a buying decision prior to handing over their money.....
  7. if it’s been serviced, it has a service history, whether it’s one service or twenty seadvices there is a history of servicing. That can’t be argued, it’s the queens English.
  8. Screenman, apologies I was expecting you to bombard us with a new screen repair service. I would be interested in you showing us some photos of your work before and after repair....
  9. If you have proof of a service then it has a service history... Ok, being more transparent stating it has just one service is also accurate. It's the job of the buyer to ask and to check everything before they hand over their money, they are adults and should take responsibility, it is equally the sellers responsibility to make sure the buyer is fully aware.
  10. Jim. I think Trade Vets comments are perfectly just and reasonable and polite, we are all free to ask questions and have are own opinion. I don't think a Narky reply is really appropriate or necessary.
  11. If you have proof it’s been serviced, then it has a service history, end of. Tracking is part of maintaining the car. Mr customer, maintaining your car is part of ownership and your responsibility. Give an inch and they’ll suck you dry.

  15. We all moan, but Pip's right (welcome Pip), we earn very good money compared to the UK's average 2017 wage of £27600 Gross.
  16. This is interesting, because what percentage of people walk past a sight on the way to the Post Office for some stamps..... see a car on a forecourt and then buy it, not that many ? Surely, location, location, location is the key...... To me, the web is my forecourt
  17. A used vehicle is a used vehicle, it isn’t new mr customer
