  1. LIKE. Plodding along over here, not great, but seen a lot worse in recent times, so I'll take it
  2. I'm local and always drive, if anyone goes, drop me a pm and I'll collect you from the station in the morning if I'm there the same day. Rish
  3. Not that I've been able to find recently, bought 30% less than usual in recent months
  4. Any sort of Ford Ranger Wildtrak that's been beaten to death by the first lease owner. And transporter highlines with any colour apart from white. If I had a pipeline of these at the right money I could retire at 40
  5. How far north east to London?
  6. What about asphalt planings? We had it done at our storage yard, paid about £50 a ton. Keeps it looking relatively clean, isn't an arse ache when it rains and as above, its cheap
  7. Blondes with big.... Sorry, read the thread title and got ahead of myself there.
  8. I have to say BHM, your posts are single handedly what I look forward to reading the most!
  9. I'm sure PayPal has some 3% commission and then some ridiculous 45 day clawback for customers who feel they're hard done by. Can you imagine the comebacks?
  10. At 20 mate, you won't even get trade insurance for a new business, let alone PL or road risk. You are young but gain experience at an indy, selling/appraising/buying/prepping; it'll stand you in good stead to run your own shop. And in that time, you may realise that you're happier just working for someone rather than going out on your own. Hope this helps and don't want to put a dampener on your plans, just my tuppence. Rish
  11. Good luck young sir, unit looks good! Rish
  12. I love the new R's, proper boy racers cars but one of the best cars I've ever driven
  13. If you don't want it, I'd have it!
  14. I VW or 1 VW? I've seen the car if it's the latter, rudeboy blue R32, before that a GTD. Driven by one of the top brass at Inchcape probably. How the other half live eh?
  15. I'm now based in Petworth so not too far from you, I've got a guy who buys all my tat. Not my favourite person, but I can understand him when he talks, he pays me a fair price and I've never had any ballache with him in the few years I've dealt with him. By tat I mean the shite I don't want to retail myself, he's not a scrap dealer or breaker so doesn't buy crap to bin. Drop me a PM if you're still looking and I'll dig out his number when I'm at work tomorrow.
  16. Stock turn of 9 for me, although inclined to agree with Trade Vet above; seems something fairly basic that you'd have calculated in your financial planning before starting out.
  17. Great forum, great bunch, and not a bad year at all. Merry Christmas one and all Rish
  18. If you've got nothing documented, definitely give the money back. I had a shitty review when we first started with something similar to this, and it cost me more in time than the deposit was worth. Refund him and wish him all the best. Tis the season of goodwill and all that

Hi Jim I've paid the fee for the sub, however don't know where I need to send this form into? Please advise. In my view, a lot of my family are in business and from independent financial advisors and accountants to bakers and shopkeepers, everyone has some sort of trade group that is able to speak for its members and holds some sway in the way things are done. Not saying will change overnight, but I do think it's a good idea. There are people that will disagree with my POV and that's healthy debate, after all, we are all independents. But I think we share the same core values; to provide a decent service and stock, to get paid, and to be treated respectfully. Morning all! Rish

Hi Umesh Pretty sure I registered previously, been getting the mailshots but my login details don't work Rish
  21. Don't know what happened above, but Allstars, only you can answer the questions you're asking. AT, eBay, Gumtree, motors and whoever work differently for all traders. Me personally, I've taken the time to check what actually costs me more leads wise and where the footfall is driven by. This means that, for me, getting shot of AT is just something that I can't afford to do, and I don't much want to either. Have you ever tried selling different gear?
  22. It's one of those how longs a piece of string? All depends on from and to where and how many.
  23. Was in Blackbushe today, earmarked roughly 50 that were decent and worth having a bid on. All sold, the lowest being cap clean money (grade 5). Bought myself a sausage roll and a ribena and came home empty handed.
  24. Hi Umesh I've registered but still can't login to the forums unfortunately. Rishi
