  1. What about customers walking in that have seen the advert though? How would the advertising agency be paid for that? Nice thought however
  2. Speak to smart drivers club, might be a way to track important cars easily?
  3. Refund and forget. Take the rough with the smooth.
  4. We use feefo and find it works well. Quick simple and becoming well known. Not a massive cost. Also your score can be linked to your Google search. But if you want quick and easy a simple please review us on Facebook is possible
  5. What budget you looking at Umesh?
  6. Online buying is certainly growing in the discussions theses days. However buying your weekly shop compared to a £20,000 car is slightly different and a risk on both parties. Would I buy a house online ? I think it will grow and grow online buying but I think there will always be room for the forecourts and showrooms. For me it will always come down to great after sales care and good retention, as like all industry's things will change and we will adapt
  7. We advertise in our local paper every other week. I've said the main reason is to support a local business (eg the paper, printers, support local community) and second for brand awareness, granted people don't rush in on the advert, but when they are in the market, hopefully we are thought of
  8. I look forward to downloading your's Umesh ;-)
  9. I looked at this a few years back, but why would a customer want to go on your app? I don't think there is any point, far better have a news section within a responsive website or a blog We had an online booking website a while back and it asked the user to add to iphone (smartphones) as a app icon, but was just a web page basically Put time and resource elsewhere is my view - each to their own though
  10. Contact Paul at Fawdingtons Suzuki Hexham, perfect for this well not him his dog
  11. Well done Baggot getting Zuckerburg that's quite an accomplishment
  12. Feeling sorry for you here with no replies, as already spoken about but leadership, management, people, values is my cup of tea
  13. Do it. I think apprenticeships are fantastic. We currently have 3 and are about to take an extra 2/3 on soon, 30% of our 40 staff started as apprentices and it's great getting fresh blood into the Industry and also gives something to the local area. My advice fInd the best college not the closest. Happy to chat and grants available usually.
  14. Could be wrong, but think the Fiat engine is the same as the one used in Corsa at that age, if so think Phil H would be right with the MAP sensor needing cleaned
  15. As said in a previous post i am very tempted to try Sky admsart over Autotrader for a period, but not in a position to do it just yet, confident i will though in time
  16. I'm not going to argue your case as I feel AT works for us, but I asked for some data recently which a year ago would have been no issue, now I'm being told No you can't have it despite a recent price increase. Also annoyingly at the recent UCAwards not one AT congratulated or said hi to me despite being a customer for over 10 years, now I'm no celeb but that's the point. Just a number to them now.
  17. The Xmas search boom, quite simple. Thousands of smart phones and tablets are given as xmas gifts so naturally people play on them and search for anything and everything. I bet every industry seems a traffic boom.
  18. Hi guys, I'm not a massive AT user with regards to the portal, as we use our DMS to feed AT. I believe you will never see massive amounts of leads because I think people will view and visit. What I think is the best measurement is the match report. AT sends us the highest amount of referral traffic to our website therefore the leads I get from our website might actually have been AT. I think packages could be reviewed mind. Eg do we need s regular rep visits? We all know your images should be good and if we've an aged car to check its price / condition
  19. If the rates are right I'll do it. On a serious note. Someone who has overcome challenges stayed focussed and go to their goal. Perhaps like that Everest guy. Or from a morale boost Paul McGee is class
  20. Even if its genuine, long distance selling act etc - to big risk id say
  21. Interesting comments from all, i was just looking at our AT bill and could actually do a SKY AD Smart campaign for similar money Reference other sites, autotrader has such a strong name for buyers, it will always be used unless one other is used by dealers for many many years, think we are all dabbling here and there, to me a solution would be a "www.website.co.uk" basically offers a strong 5 year deal, no dropping out by dealers at sensible rates but with a gaurantee that they have 5 years tv advertising, i had high hopes for motors as thought they looked good value, but i just never see them on tv etc, thats the power of autotrader they have the name out there already, no idea what it would cost for a tv campaign but to me thats the only way it can ever work
  22. Surely James Baggot can help? He has a good relationship with Vauxhall i understand
