I know its still a few months away, but I’m sure some of us must have thought about it? Combining two factors (COVID-19 & December (Christmas)). What are your thoughts.... will you be taking the month off and absorbing the expenses that you would have incurred, or .... is it full steam ahead! And sales as normal? my opinion - Normally Christmas time is generally slower for us, so adding COVID to the mix, I can only anticipate an even slower month?

I think it will all depend where you are in the country, what stock mix you’ve got and how quickly you can react to the ever changing sales environment. I’d just take the opportunites that come along and there’s no point trying to force the market in December anyway as trying to replace the stock will only cost you more in Jan. We’ll be open right the way through and historically we’ve always made a profit for the month, I use December to get things prepared for January anyway, have a general tidy up of office/admin and a stock take to sort out of all those forgotten part exchanges and problem sales cars. So there’s always something to do.

Think we've lost enough time this year already, if I have the stock then I will be there , good thing about these appointments only though, there is flexibility

Don't worry - that's simple - I can't speak for others, but mine are on my trade ins policy, maybe a thought?

Absolutely; customer/s buying profiles will likely change going forward, but as you say up there, the positive is peoples need to buy cars is something which will never change, except, maybe, to some extent the regularity of replacement/s.

Thank you to all who have shared and / or contributed, as they say, every little helps. Sharing, (and Donations however small), is the most important important thing I'm sad to say that it seems to have stalled right now, but I fully intend to keep it running until she reaches a conclusion with this. So far with everyone's contributions, many from guys I've never actually met, we have £500 in the Fund Raiser and I have another £500 which is from myself and some other businesses who I deal with, and have been good enough to come on board, we will be sponsoring her with a fixed amount each per month now, in order to reduce that Capital Sum The lady is in awe, she wants me to pass on her heartfelt thanks to everyone who has so far donated and shared I am taking her to see my Accountant, I spoke with him last week and he thinks he may have found a loophole where he can get an extension on her existing mortgage of 2 years, so if he can it means the D Day will then be April 2023, which will mean there is a whole lot more time and a much better chance of getting to the target. Once again, thank you all, and my final comment for now is to quote the old saying ..................... "You really do find out who are true friends in times of crisis" https://www.gofundme.com/f/local-lady-with-io-mortgage-due-past-retiementage?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf share-flow-1&fbclid=IwAR1pO5CUqoA7H5iKQdenrlAkdyI5iWHjAu1Cg_jcJO5-oV0Te2NCOjrl58k

Very true. My days of eating greasy baps is over. I’m 58, I’m more likely to be found in a lay-by eating an undressed salad out of a plastic container than a sausage and egg sarnie!

Tom Harley Jnr has a good YouTube channel. Very knowledge able about his classics. I could watch him all day, can't say the same for Carl Hartley.

Google sticky stuff remover, to help remove foam number plate tabs, may work.
