I had a customer on Sunday who came to see a beautiful Mazda MX5 I had for sale. I spent well over an hour with him, test driving the car for 20 mins and he seemed very happy with everything. Whilst out on the drive I found out he had been looking for about 3 months and had seen quite a few cars, I was confident he would buy mine. When we got back I asked him if he was happy with the car and he said yes so I motioned that we go and do some paperwork. I was amazed when he said that he didn't want to rush into something.....he had been looking for 3 months ffs. I reminded him he had been looking for a while and he had just told me he was happy with the car.....he was hardly rushing into it. As a parting shot I asked how bothered would you be if you went away and someone else came and bought it. He was confident that that was not going to happen as the car had been advertised for a while and he was going to make a decision "in the very near future". Well, you guessed it, a chap came yesterday and bought it within 20 mins and took it straight away. The best bit, the guy from Sunday has just been on the phone wanting to come and have another look....."I am sorry sir but the car has sold"...…..you could of heard a pin drop followed by"I really wanted that car"...…..I Love this job LOL

customers need educating into what "USED" actually means, i dont know how like, but maybe we should use the word "part worn" like the tyres to be fair, the customer can nowadays easily view the discs with quite a few vehicles having alloys fitted nowadays, and the customer can bring this to the attention of the seller quite easy, some surface rust yes, ok, but not worn thin as a crisp

I agree but the 10 days before a budget has been quiet for me almost guaranteed for nearly 20 years.

So true! That's why all my cars are reassuringly expensive.....

Bloody foreigners coming over here starting businesses and helping others along by being gentlemanly and helpful above and beyond. The country's going to rack and ruin!

Like night and day. Well done for taking the advice on board and listening instead of getting upset because you were told some home truths. A couple of your photos need a little more care, the one of the boot for example needs centering and straightening. When you take a photo think about the subject matter being centred and level. When taking exterior photos of cars specifically. Also, you only have 20 images you are allowed to use. Don’t use one of them providing information (your company name and number) that can easily be found elsewhere. Use every slot to provide a new piece of information. Cram as much as you can into the page. This is where imo, lots of people go wrong with AT. The don’t think hard enough about how they can use every inch of the advert to their advantage. Well done on the progress. Your presentation is now significantly better. Always room for improvement of course.

That Black Car is transformed with those new Photo's, Wheel Trims and Tyre Buff, looks million times nicer, much less of a "Pikey offering" !! Good on you for taking the advice on board Sadly you would not take what I would want to pay for it LOL, I have to steal every Car I buy or I can't be bothered to flip it That will sell now !! Losing the pissed "Torque" Plates and turning the front Wheels great !! One final critique, the Joggers / Trainers reflection in rear bumper might put some billies off

Our original pitch pays out a fortune to AT.However at our new one ,for the moment we have a 5+2 AT starter pack and I think it costs just over £2 per day per car.I don’t know whether this is a special deal but I found that the lady I dealt with at AT was very helpfull and as good as her word which is quite rare these days.If anyone is interested I can get her contact number as she works from home and has been with AT for many years.

It's actually my favourite rebuttal to the "can you do anything withe the price?" question. "I'd love to help but I've actually got a chap booked in for 9am tomorrow morning, he's coming up for Brighton, the car's for his wife, he sounded awfully keen and I suspect he will not be leaving empty handed" Sometimes that's actually true. "Can you do anything with the price?" Gotta love that one. Yeah, I can add another grand to it if you like.

Love it when that happens. To me, whenever I say someone else wants to see the car - I feel they will interpret that as trader bullshit.

Good luck! I sell older stock than you but I haven’t touched a DSG in about 5 years when I could ‘feel’ a couple of 100K Passats I had at the time were not quite right. Tbh I was grateful they never came back. As for the 1.2, that’s always been a piece of shit with either chain issues or valve/head problems. REPLACE with a secondhand unit, cross your fingers & avoid this engine.
