  3. Hiya everyone. Just throwing this out there as I rarely deal with Written off stuff, however I've been offered this in PX and have no idea really where it should sit or if anyone wants to underwrite it? 2013/13 Audi A1 1.6 Sport Tdi Manual Misano Red Black Roof and nice 17" bi tone alloys Comfort Pack / Connectivity Pack / Auto Dim mirrors Nice tidy car bar 1 scuff on the front edge of the bottom N/S Front bumper I have photo's but i'm buggered if I can upload them on this forum. Any advice / takers / underwrites appreciated.
  4. Try 9 weeks on an £8k JCW that we found had, had a replacement engine, blew its head gasket on the way home. claimed on BCA, waited 4 weeks for an engineer to come and confirm it was a heap then it sat gathering dust as I waited and waited and waited for that promised call back every single day from the branch I purchased it from so they could have it back. In the end i took the car back to my local branch as I was sick of waiting for the call from the original branch, I watched it go through the block last week and make similar money to what i'd paid ( poor sod, it was f*cked ) Only today ( 11 weeks after Purchase ) have I had my account credited.
  5. I got pulled up on this ( my own fault ) as Santander started charging me 1% for paying in cash. I'd stick it in my personal HSBC account and the transfer it over - been doing it 2 years and then I get a call from HSBC about excessive cash deposits. I went and paid £8500 in one day and should really have split it up over a week or so. Anything over £5k alerts them and they looked into all my previous cash deposits and warned me I was in breach of my personal banking conditions 9 somewhere deep within those booklets they send you out every 6 months or so ) they then sent me a shitty letter saying basically if i did it again they'd cancel my account. So I just suck it up and try to take as little cash as possible.
  6. Every single one a Mini We do really well with complaints, i.e we get very few. I'm of the opinion, if it goes wrong, we put it right and we've only had 1 proper screamer in 2 1/2 years and that was on a 110,000 mile VW Beetle. We stopped selling px's after that and concentrated on selling the best stock we can get. So far so good!
  7. Not been on here for a while.... been so busy.. 26 for the month including trade, 19 retail, absolutely buzzing. Best month in our history ( albeit 2 1/2 years! ) Let hope it continues
  8. Definitely. I'd rather have my car than his, hence i'm hoping someone will underwrite it. To be honest I gave up with this guy and then he's popped back up and significantly reduced his expectations. There's a man out there for this car, just trying to find him/her!
  9. I can do a deal with this man at £16k for the Alpina?
  10. Thats the one - however the guys wants in excess of £20k for it, DEFINITLEY NOT I've walked away from the deal...
  11. Been offered this beauty against my £18k GP2. I have no idea what its worth, however feeling he wants a straight swap or even cashback.. Anyone know anyone who'd love this? 2004/54 Z4 S LUX Roadster Met Blue, Black Leather. 65k 6 Owner FSH been garaged and kept like a newborn etc..... If i could work out how to load a photo I would but I can email them no worries.
  12. Cardealer5 for me. I'm not the most computer literate and they are great. I considered Clickdealer, but was a little more expensive See mine here www.superminiuk.com Thanks
  13. They're an aftermarket ( US ) add on. For some reason the yoofs like to add the reflector bumpers and also some even paint them ( Yuk ) I personally stay well away from any Mini with colour coded bumpers as I think they look crap.
  14. We use myminivin but to be honest I didn’t bother looking as silver trim cars are N14. However there are a few pre lci facelift 10 plates with silver trim had early N18 engines. I think they intro’d the engine March 2010 and then the lci facelift around sept on a 60 plate with the black trim.
  15. Hiya, Sorry for late reply, been sooooo busy this week. Yes N18 is a more reliable engine, however we will happily sell N14 car, but we check them meticulously beforehand. Its like anything, read the moaners forums and you'd never buy anything. We explain to each customer that the engines are common for oil consumption, keep an eye on it, keep it checked and serviced and you should be OK. Its when people hear a rattle and keep driving the thing for 2 months and then wonder why the chain snapped?? We got lucky this week with 2 2010 purchases from Scotland that we thought were N14's that turned out to be early N18's We walk away from more cars than we buy, because we are selective about what we sell, but we don't always get it right. I'm much more comfortable buying N14 now I have my own technician. I'm just doing a HPFP in an N14 JCW that would have cost me £1200 a year ago. Same job now, done in minutes for less than £400.
  16. 1.6 N18 is the newer BMW engine fitted to cooper s after 2010 and JCW 2012 The previous N14 peugeot is the one to look for timing chain rattles and coked up bits. If well maintained an N14 will last as well as the next engine, its just lack of oil changes and general poor maintenence that kills these We sell em all day long - but we are very selective about what we buy and will only get an assured car form BCA unless my tech is at the block with me to listen - however a timing chain change isn't that big or expensive a job, its when its not done that the issues arise.... Also could be a Vanos unit as these stick Or HPFP Expensive part, easy fit
  17. 15 year old car done 4000 miles since purchase.... and has a rubbing?? Am I missing something here? Seems like you're getting into a hole here by even acknowledging the customer. Move on man
  18. Hair grips, everywhere oh and Make up on steering wheels/sunvisors/door cards/armrests/stereo controls/indicator stalks ............... Damn Mini's

  21. I struggle with my pics sometimes with he light, have to have the door shut for exterior pics, and then take the interior ones outdoors!! arghh lighting is key for me! Good luck with the unit too, looks similar to ours, but with more toilets! ha ha
  22. Movex for me too - regularly get stuff from as far as Kinross and Bridgwater and usually its pretty good value too. Again as above only ever had 1 issue with some jockey supposed to deliver a car on a Friday PM and 'couldn't' make it till Monday, funnily enough it was a lovely A5 Convertible in the middle of summer!
  23. I'm from PLC land and have had it drilled into me to turn my stock ASAP. I stock 10-12 cars and sell 14-16 a month. for me its all about getting the ££££ back in the bank as soon as possible. I premium Price for 10 days, then re look every other day. If i've had a car in stock over 120 days i'd get rid for cost or a small loss as i'd rather have it invested in something else. My average days in stock for 2017 was 28 days, which I can live with as I did have a couple of terminally ill cars that went 200 days or so! PLC would write down at 30/60/90 days ( in fact you'd get a fine of £1000 per car at 90 days, so it didn't happen ) Sometimes stuff flies away in minutes, but others stick, I try to take a lesson from each car I buy, every day's a school day so they say....
