Had bit of a bidding battle with someone the other day a on BMW convertible - I won the bid. However upon collecting the car one of the tyres was slashed in the car park. Was it my rival bidder? Who knows, no other cars were damaged so it seems a bit of a coincidence! Any else had problems like this?

Definitely noticed and increase in traffic according to the "eye" and motors feeds to about 10 other local websites which works as well!

I Use a smart repairer for scuffs and he is very good, my body shop will only be used if its heavy damage. I to use a dent man who is exceptional.

Having the boots open does make a difference and look more inviting. Most of the traders I see down the auctions wear superdry jackets!

A nice story! I had a diamond white XR2 as my second hand not the fastest car in the world but was enjoyable to drive. Looking at the DVLA database shows its not been on the road since 2002 so I presume its been scrapped since! Sporty fords will always be classic's.

Very busy December here!

No they don't but best offer can effect your feedback. Best offer is waste of time unless your're desperate to get rid of old stock and take hits on the price.

Good thing about motors is that your adverts get uploaded to local newspaper websites and parkers etc. I sold a Golf the other day a chap saw on parkers which is automated through motors. For the cost its worth it.

How does the weather affect your footfall?

I am more likely to sell a car in the rain than on a sunny day, people tend to go out for the day when its sunny and when it rains they get bored and come to buy a car! -
How will they know, filters are inside a metal casing and MOT testers are not allowed to dismantle a vehicle. I had a 206 done a few months back, the filter was removed but the casing was still present so nobody would know. The DPF file on the ECU was removed so only if a Diagnostic machine was plugged in would you know it wasnt working and even then the filter could still be present

Which day/days in the week are your best for sales? Mine is Friday followed closely by Tuesday. Saturdays is always dead for me!

I hate being asked this, I always tell customers to come in so I can see the car/history check and drive it! If they say I am coming along way then they need to anyway to see my car! If they dont like it then tough luck! -
Yes I would if the price was right. Price wise from my experience 25% Cat D | 50% Cat C

I follow Umesh and enjoy his tweets! -
I've only ever sold one cat d which had paint stipper damage and had been re-sprayed, the chap that bought it couldnt give a monkeys as the lower than average screen price was already a deal maker. This kind of damage would not deter me selling a car and most people would be OK about it.

No 4x4's always sell, Particularly badge queens who buy the Green LR Badge. Spoke to an old trader who knows a dealer who cant get enough 4x4's all year round after struggling to sell eco petrol cars!
