Tom replied to Mistermuttley's topic in General Dealer Chat
I do it online on collection whilst customer is in the office so if they drive through any cameras or get parking fines it goes to them rather than me or previous owner which can be a ball ache then shred the logbook. -

Don't you do the V5 online anyway? -
Do the door handles pull off on the KA?
-
Aren't you just better off with a prettier fiat 500?

Most have mechanicals reports. BCA are best at this to be fair. Ive had refunds on cars with slipping clutches and knocking engines.
-
Yeah "traders" Polish and Lithuanian
-
Yes it can be done but it can be hassle driving around peoples houses looking at cars only to find its junk, Auctions are all in one place for convenience. I have bought a few on ebay in the early days but its thin on the ground and mainly high mileage old junk or right offs.

I go to bristol as well. If you think its expensive there try BCA blackbushe! Bonkers up there been going for 2 years and pulled the plug. The difference between BCA and manheim is night and day. Not just the prices but the quality of the set up.

I had this on a clio once, press the internal lock button and hold it down until the immobiliser lights stays lit then press the remote it should pop the locks. if not either your keys are goosed or the body control module.

I 99% of the time check mot history before buying. Yes I do this as well. Cazana is very useful.

I wouldn't touch a normal 500 but an Abarth is OK.
-
Yes Ive had similar - brakes pads wearing thin 5 years ago have they been done?! Yes probably sir!
-
Have to be priced right otherwise seem good sellers.
-
Is it a variable vain turbo like on VAGS? probably is I think they all are now. Have you checked the EGR valve as I had a turbo problem on a Jag X type and it was a blocked EGR upsetting air flow.
-
Im not a qualified mechanic but I do a lot of my own servicing, oil changes, disc and pads, etc so I'm confident enough to fill out the majority of lawgistics pdi form and the MOT test does the rest including emissions checks.

Loads of enquirers but no shows!

Got to love land rovers, easy to sell hard to maintain. If it was sold as FSH but clearly isnt then surely thats deception and the ball is in your court.

Looks like it only newer diesels.........some websites say one thing and another
-
Yes I know never said it wasn't! Any diesel failing to meet euro 6 excluding vans. Wrong! New diesels are cleaner they are punishing older diesels.
-
Well the Tax spiral has now been answered. Any diesel car that doesn't meet latest emissions (Euro 6 currently) purchased after April 2018 will pay 1 tax band higher than its current band for the first 12 months and roll back consecutively there after. Will this hinder diesel sales? Probably, but after the first year it will still be cheaper than most bigger petrol's and mpg will obviously be better.
