  1. Funny story on Ford plastic coolant tanks. Years ago I took my daughter (16) with me to pick up a cmax I’d bought at the block. We hit traffic on the way back and I told my daughter I could smell coolant? She said said is it us? And I said said I think so. And she said is it the plastic tank! Lol
  2. To be fair, Ford coolant reservoirs are the greatest story ever told? But then like many manufacturers there ‘focus’ is in the first three years of ownership, and not really at all after 5/6yrs. Ten years make it EOL? Like electronics and white goods, they don’t want them to last forever, they want you to keep buying new ones.
  3. Highly unlikely. For the big auction houses there is absolutely no advantage or reward in returning to ‘the bad old days’ of physical auctions. Personally, and I’ve been saying this for ages, it was on the cards anyway to move to virtual auctions. Turn the sites over to just parking for stock. Reduced overheads on sites with less staff needed. All buyers have to register with accounts. No more cash buyers. No more ‘bid and run!’. Less opportunity to inspect stock prior to purchase? Etc. For them it’s a win, win, win!
  4. According to manheim they are going to do work around somehow. Without us having to install any software? Don’t know about BCA? And yeah, I hijack my daughters fancy PC when I’m able to! She had a few iMacs and very good they were too, but she is gamer and sadly macs just don’t cut it? Her last boyfriend was an IT guy and built her a gaming rig that could put a rocket on the moon!
  5. Anyone else get the note from manheim about flash player. I don’t currently use use IE as a browser preferring Firefox but I wonder how the audio/video changes will be implemented without using flash?
  6. Reading this is like bad sex! You know what’s going to happen, and how awful it will be, but you still can’t stop yourself!
  7. It’s the ‘Covid inertia’ effect?
  8. I know! But it makes me nervous about these wonder drugs? Easy to stick it in? Impossible to get out?
  9. I’ll be at the back of the queue for this! My old mum told me about the wonder drug they offered her back in the day to cure morning sickness, thalidomide? Fortunately she refused it?
  10. As the northerners say, “where there’s muck there’s brass!”
  11. Maybe covid is affecting computer systems now?
  12. Oh yeah, and it’s been going on for years too!
  13. Plus the people that were sacked and then re employed on shittier contracts?
  14. Yep, clock it just before a main dealer service?
  15. As much as I love your idea, it’s annoying that I can’t just punch in a reg number and get an accurate VED rate? The question used to be, “has the cam belt been done?”, now it’s “is this the one with the cheap tax?”

Well, where does their stock come from?
  17. I’m fed up with that clunky gov website for checking ved rates. It’s not even been working properly recently. With the obsession with emissions why is it so difficult to check ved rates, especially when you don’t have vin number only reg
  18. Yeah I like the sound of magic beans? But obviously we only sell a few in our spare time so it’s not like we have to declare that? It’s just a hobby?
  19. People are easily lured into what they perceive to be making easy money?
  20. Might be different this time because BCA have found a way to include privates and chancers by lowering the trade account criteria and allowing blue card to ‘up’ to silver and be able to buy online? Here’s seems to be and endless supply of these guys who feel an account is like a key to the promised land?
  21. I feel sorry for guys that source stock from private sellers like that?
  22. So are we ‘holding our folding’ at the block now? Perhaps CDM can go definitive on this for all of us?
