lol. My second in command who is a bit new to the job can't understand why I don't deal in them. Rather then repeating myself I often point him towards this forum so he can try and understand where I'm coming from. I'll make sure he reads this little nugget.

This. With no docs if the car is not 'in trade' then you ain't taxing it for weeks.
-
I few weeks ago I tried to watch some football on the office PC with one of those dodgy streaming services. managed to watch the game but ever since all sorts of screen pop ups have been appearing. Not sure it looks good when your doing a proposal or a tax online and right in the middle of it lonely wife Tara from Telford pops up in a tight top wanting to meet up

Aye; along with those that 'rebuild' engines.
-
Yep. Glad it all worked out for you Nick, but where would you have stood if the Polo would have been involved in a bump for example?
-
As far as advertising goes I guess there are two schools of thought for the smaller indies. Go all in on AT or go all in on everything else apart from AT. Only one way to find out.

Jesus. How sad. Thoughts are with those involved.

I think you may be in for an unpleasant surprise with regards to buying in January.
-
Most buyers maybe, certainly not all.
-
Probably the best auctioneer of the lot IMO. Well, him and Andy from Manheim on the basis of him supporting the mighty Wrexham
-
I take it back then

Nor me, and I was never going to. A throw away made on the cheap engine if ever there was.

Firstly I'd say it's a wonderful art that you can either do or you can't, regardless of the amount of training you have. I love a good auctioneer and admire their craft. Most annoying for me and it's probably an accent thing (although I do sense he likes the sound of his own voice), has to be the aussie guy who has burst on the scene the last few years. Out of interest, are they generally employed or do some sub contract and what sort of money can they earn with bonus's etc?

Apart from that though.....
-
Yeah, I'm a clicker these days but went to my local Wilsons last week and had my first physical bids for years. It's all in the eyebrows.....

Sold does not always mean sold.......

Bingo. Everything happens for a reason, maybe missing out on the 500 was a blessing in disguise That's why we should use the private forum more -
Trade Centre TV ads.

Personally I'd rather skip breakfast and double up on g & t Unless your FOW etc, then £400 gross on a £3700 investment with all the liabilities that come with it doesn't sound like the best business model to me. -

That was my first thought, along with 'being the cheapest' on AT. Sign of the times I guess. Sigh. -
Would could possibly go wrong? For either you or you potential customers.
-
Like. Suddenly the price of first time cars rockets
-
Love it. Although for some reason I've got images of Justin lounging by the pool wearing an open Hawaiian shirt, sporting a thick moustache with a red ferrari in the driveway waiting for his next case.

You may well get "all match" and an authorisation code to boot, but unless the customer has physically entered his magic numbers in the machine himself it's never 100% guaranteed, and for that reason just don't do it.

Your favourite valeting products and why ??
sparky replied to Arfur Dealy's topic in General Dealer Chat
This. We use the full autosmart range, mostly G101, finish, tango and highstyle but the winner has to be midnight. Boy does it save some time. -
I imagine it's a case of tough shit. One thing is for sure, if they want to get more remote buyers then they really need to up their game in terms of reports and volume of said products.
