Some of the interior photos are blurry and some of the exterior ones are over exposed (ie too bright where the suns shining on them) might be worth doing some post editing with light levels. Descriptions are all a bit lack luster, just a long list of spec options, nothing to say how the car drives or how comfortable/sporty it is for example. I'm sure others will be along soon with more advice, it is the 3rd week of Jan so everyone's skint until payday

I bet the tax man would

I think when I looked when I was 24, I got quotes for £6k with heavy restrictions on what could be put on the policy. Why not wait a few years until you're 25 and build up a pot in the meantime?

Unless the plastic guides have snapped and/or the chain is stretched

Same for me

Must of had some sort of paper work to back it up, old pre online mot paperwork maybe? I can't imagine someone bidding that much for a car like that with no paperwork, then again, I can't imagine anyone paying that much for a dirty old Sierra

Only 7000 miles if I remember correctly?
-
Talking about old cars fetching mad money, has anyone seen that video on Facebook of the Sierra rs cosworth going through East anglia car auctions last weekend for £80k?

Owner could have cheekily asked the inspector to give it cat b write off so they got a pay out and able to get a newer car!
-
I don't think they'll ever reverse a cat b, it wouldn't be worth the risk.
-
I thought Cat B meant it could only be broken for parts? My bike was a Cat B write off after a crash on a round about years ago, I bought it back off the insurance company, I couldn't sell the frame but could sell everything else (that wasn't broken or bent).

Amazon in advanced talks with car firms to sell cars online
Mikey360 replied to James Baggott's topic in General Dealer Chat
Give it another 10-15 years and I think people will be on board with buying cars from amazon. -
Sometimes if it's border line it won't throw a code. Could be a leaky turbo too? Could be worth getting it out with some v-power in the tank for a good couple of hours on the motorway to see if it's just burning off old crap in the cat/dpf, unless a previous owners drilled the DPF out

Stolen Credit Card to Purchase car over Phone
Mikey360 replied to Funny Farm's topic in General Dealer Chat
I had the exact same person (Dean Talbot) try it on with me earlier in the year with an Audi A3, wanted it delivered, wanted to pay by credit card, wouldn't have it driven to him. Claimed he was in Preston, tried a couple of times with different postcodes. Wouldn't pay unless he could do it over the phone via credit Card. He's clearly a scammer! -
£5795?

Had this on a family owned S2000 a few years back, tried a cheap one, didn't work. Paid extra for a honda oem one, worked a treat. Also make sure that there's nothing stuck in the plug hole, from memory the connection can snap easily add stay in the hole.
