They are renaming the product to AT Check MAX 8

Are you kidding? Scrap value on something like this is nearer to £60 in my area. At least no one thought my account has been hacked :-)
-
L reg Escort possibly? 58K miles but odos on those only went to 99999, then back to 0. If Practical Classics had an online forum, that would be a good place for this question... i’d scrap it.

Ten Year Old Vehicle Main Dealer Health Check
Nick M.K. replied to Dealer's topic in General Dealer Chat
Tell him that most of the above is considered fair wear and tear on the 150K mile 10 year old SUV and it explains the depreciation that these “luxobarges” suffer from and from which the customer benefitted greatly by buying the car for a tenth of it’s price new! -
It's a closed group so we may not see the post.
-
Your friends PAY you to find them cars? Mine almost expect everything for free AND will say stuff like "Look at how shiny and clean your other cars are" with a tone that suggests theirs should've been fully prepped also.
-
+1 The quality of these intros has increased greatly in the last few months. Welcome to the forum and best of luck. The harder and smarter you work the luckier you'll get :-)

2014 C Class diesel estate bought for around £13K from BCA Leeds 13 months and 17500 miles ago. Still worth that to retail and will probably be advertised shortly before the mileage creeps up to 100K.

Hi Simon, I know exactly what I am saying. Basically after YEARS OF BENDING OVER BACKWARDS for each and every customer there will be a time in the near future that (for the first time in my business’ history) I will be driven by the circumstances and by some customers personalities to do what’s better for ME and my children. After watching you for years to call customers words like pond-life and bottom feeders on this very forum and to dictate take-it-оr-leave-it terms to them I genuinely think my business is honourable ENOUGH.
-
Over many years of dealing I’ve never not sold a car that I took a deposit for unless of course the customer changed their mind. First deposit, first served. However if a customer has really managed to beat me down on my price AND demanded extra work AND been extra fussy I would sell to Mr £8000 who not only offers a lot more for a lesser condition vehicle but seems much less fussy as a customer with which the OP can go on and do many future deals. If both customers were paying the same price I’d absolutely honour that deposit. In this particular case I’ll take the eight grand.

I agree with this after clicking on one of my own CG free ads that popped on a banner after I did a google search that only spelled "Juke Nismo for sale" My own Juke is all over my Google Chrome now.
-
They are not exactly leads then are they? They are just ad views.
-
Because they also appear in many Google searches and SOME of the leads will be genuine. If you only sold 4 cars in 2 weeks from Autotrader as well by all means consider dropping it.
-
Relieved now that they closed the old forum :-) I can do without logging on for hours.

Critique my adverts / website/ photos / videos
Nick M.K. replied to MarkTVS's topic in General Dealer Chat
Interesting to go from mechanical into sales, unusual but I guess this gives you a bit of an edge. Maybe mention this into your video. 1) Astra Video: Location too busy for my liking, too much background noise from the road making your voice difficult to hear. I am a fan of scottish accents but maybe talk a little bit slower. 2) Astra AT Advert: Not enough text. Only a few words. Include a bit more, stuff about the rarity of that model etc etc, keep them engaged, keep them on the advert. Once they click off you've lost them. Photos: Location and background too busy, lines, reflections, fencing takes the eye away from the car. Find a location with a more rural, neutral background, stand a couple of metres further away from the car, then zoom in for correct proportions. Clean interior and door cards a bit better, make sure steering wheel is straight and get rid of air freshners etc from inside the car. Good luck! -
It shows it to you but will NOT show it in the info which the customers can see.
-
Very odd. No Nox sensor or DeNox cat codes is unusual on these. Always seem to have them.
-
Have you scanned the car? Have you got a code with no EML: "DeNOX Catalytic converter sulpherised"?

Sorry, I completely forgot to address the initial question here. Since the first week they came to the UK market Car Gurus have been returning more leads than Autotrader (I hate the Autoraper expression, I don't know why people use it, If someone feels raped by a provider you stop using that provider and that's it). In terms of converting those to sales it's a whole different story. Same with eBay. 4 calls this morning (I have the call whisperer) for 4 different cars. Ask me how many deposits I took or how many viewing appointments I booked :-)

Always use Sytner if you have one anywhere near you. They have a dedicated team that will chase Bmw to authorise warranty work if it’s required and if the car is near the warranty parameters. You might need to pay some contribution but usually a small %

It’s a bit like Ryanair “randomly allocating” seats when you don’t pay extra. In 2017 out of 20odd flights I got 20 “random” middle seat allocations. They categorically deny programming their algo to do that and since mid 2018 seem to have changed it after too much backlash. Can’t prove anything though. For me, my location, my stock and customer profile it is statistically improbable that I will get 10 CG email leads, will reply to all 10 very promptly and get NO further follow up whatsoever. In the same way most car dealers have a few fake reviews here and there CG send a very odd named email lead every now and then. I genuinely believe this and for now will not pay CG. £225 pm for over a year in 2017 and two sales only!
-
Best defence? INCREASE prices every now and then. F*** them!
-
Grant, CG operate a system of fake leads. They are not real and you never get any follow up after you reply to their initial enquiry. Sometimes you get a lot of leads, you sign up, then the leads dry up, you call to cancel, the leads increase. It may work for you as every now and then you get a real person that really comes and buys. And they are a fifth of the price as you pointed out.

My 3 old year daughter is very interested in cars but can't reach the pedals yet. My 13 year old daughter tried our C Class on our driveway and she did OK. Completely uninsured of course. At 18 I will add her to the trade policy unless they say No. Will cross that bridge........
