  1. It doesn’t work like that with ford. Ford dealers need to achieve so many new registered cars to achieve a bonus from ford. This is why fords will pre register bundles of ford Ka’s and then sell them for £5995 (cost) to hit there new reg bonus. Well it was like this when I was there. Regarding mileage and retraction of a registered keeper, I remember fords did it after a customer had it for 400 miles however ive known cars to have 400 miles as pre delivery miles. I doubt you would get away with much more than that anyway. Went to Aston Barclay again today and the prices were absolutely off the scale. a 53 plate golf gti which capped at £850 went for £2900. Eye watering. Virtually anything decent achieving £500-£800 above book and the lower end stuff In Terrible condition.
  2. You can infact reverse a new car registration. I’m not sure how long you get though.
  3. I do mine on there behalf. I always get 5 stars
  4. I should imagine a lot of main dealers running at a loss over the last few months...
  5. Just looking through the catalogues of Aston Barclay etc..... the amount of cars going through are really low..... also the quality of cars going through is also poor on average.... im assuming it’s been a poor plate change on 1st September as can’t remember such small amount of numbers....
  6. I don’t understand what you are trying to achieve here....
  7. Hi mate, managed to get 2 today but both fixer uppers to some degree.... 5 series Estate 11 plate which needs front and rear bumpers spraying. And a white 11 plate TDI scirocco which has more lights than a Xmas tree but probably dpf related.... both below cap average and some nice profit in them hopefully. Couldn’t get near the mint stuff....
  8. Another mental day at Aston barclay Chelmsford, and was totally mobbed by dealers.... however it did look like a little bit of normality returning to prices today.
  9. We are incredibly busy..... we are in central essex
  10. That Audi will still have profit? £9k including fees. Sell at £9995? i dont want to be spending £9k to earn £400 after expenses thank you. I can earn £1500 on a cheap chopper.
  11. Just walked out of Aston Barclay Chelmsford. Wanted an a5 cap clean £7600 went for £8650 saw a lovely c4 grand Picasso in white wanted to pay £4700 went for £5800. i took myself and my coffee back to the car park pronto!
  12. 4 this weekend for us. With 2 finance declines.
  13. We stock around 36 but we have room for about 42. We can’t seem to be able to buy enough at the right prices as everything is so bloody expensive down the auction and our other sources are slow on stock also, so can never hit 42.
  14. We are on 17 for the month which is the best we have done for the first 15-16 days. hoping to break 30 this month with 29 being our record. We have been trading 2 years now, but this week we have only done 4 so may struggle to beat 30 now.
  15. Aston Barclay last night was absolutely eye watering, some cars were going £1000 over cap clean..... I went to the cafe and ate shepherds pie and beans. It was the highlight of my night
  16. We have done 10 in 6 days. 3 today which was a nice start to the weekend. Absolutely zero finance proposals this week though.... unusually quiet on the finance front.
  17. So we have done 6 months with Car Gurus on the paid package with limited success and quite a lot of very weak leads but with a few sales. Our contract is ending this month and just wondering how every one is finding the advertising with AA and how many cars you're stocking?
  18. We have a main road forecourt with a very busy road, which fits 19-20. 9 inside the showroom 4 in the valeting bay / showroom when no valeting is required and another 20 round the back in the storage yard which we pay around £3300 per month.
  19. Can’t be worried about a week. Customers will sniff out the right cars. As long as auto trader has low to high we will all be ok
  20. We did 9 cars in 7 days, and from bank holiday Monday to Friday we did zero. It’s 6 weeks holidays. Just relax. Back to normality today with 2 done. 6 weeks holiday and payday coming. All back to normal with a huge influx of cheap cars at the auction next week. Time to party.

  22. Titan wet vac from screw fix £70 and it’s very powerful, a hard brush and some good fabric clean. That’s all you need.
  23. We have had a lot of interest from Ireland, no questions asked when they turn up and paid in cash too.... also my pal has had one turn up on his door With cash
  24. Thank you for this. The lady at dvla said the reason I couldn’t tax it was because it hadn’t gone into trade! I reckon she wanted me off the phone at all costs as it was 5:30!
