  1. It’s 100% timing chain mate..... you can try everything you want, the timing chain has stretched and there is nothing you can do about it. I’ve given the chassis to my man and has confirmed the recalls....
  2. We have just signed up for 25 car package for 6 months for £300 per month. Autotrader would probably cost £2500 a month for that
  3. Hi mate, yes, virtually all of the petrol 4 cylinder engines suffer from timing issues. 25% of the ones we buy need new timing chains. Some get done under warranty.
  4. Doesn’t matter, I’ll let you know shortly Yes needs all 3 -Timing chain check(at dealer) will be classed as a Brake retrofit check. Will be a free timing chain install. -Battery cable. (Extremely urgent car can cut out mid driving and lose all power. I’ve hard this twice. -Blower wiring (can catch fire) Can do the wiring Monday. Have a good weekend gents.
  5. Timing chain mate. Send me the chassis and I will see if it qualifies for recall
  6. How many of you are finding car gurus is retuning more leads than autoraper? We have been on car gurus for 2 weeks now free package and is out performing autotrader by miles
  7. Why don’t you get it mapped out? Easiest way and cheapest and no come backs
  8. Hi mate, marketplace is free.... no point signing up to motors just for market place. Car gurus has actually been producing leads for me and they are free
  9. It has assaulted my eyes since it changed.
  10. I won’t leave auto trader just yet as one sale pays for our advertising on average. But I should imagine within 12-24 months they will be losing customers left right and centre.... car gurus seems to be making a good push on tv I totally agree with this and I would say the quality from autoraper is generally better. Facebook has by far the highest decline rate on finance. Something like 9 declines out of 11 lol
  11. I’m currently noticing a huge shift in leads from the main advertising platform autotrader to others. I have written down all my leads for the month and as follows for feb £1200 p/m autotrader - 20 leads £330 p/m eBay & gumtree - 14 leads £free - autovolo 3 leads £free - car gurus 9 leads £free - Facebook marketplace -28 leads forecourt - 20 ish leads or more i have heard that within 2 years Facebook marketplace will be rivalling autotrader and will remain free. how is everyone doing across all the advertising platforms? Autoraper seems to be losing its market share rapidly.
  12. I don’t normally push products however this has had an instant impact to our business. We sold 19 cars in feb and this has taken all the hassle away from any paperwork. And probably helped with extra leads on sites we wouldn’t normally sell on. Pays for itself. Hope you all had a good weekend guys.
  13. Yes it’s £125 per month but it’s very very good. It has reduced so much paperwork and advertising time.
  14. So as per some of my previous posts regarding vat margin and invoicing etc I have been trailing some dealer management software solutions and invoicing integration etc. Well I can’t recommend dragon2000 enough..... it does absolutely everything for you. From uploading the images from the iPhone app when you purchase the car, raising the purchase invoice, uploading to to eBay, auto trader, car gurus, autovolo etc.... It works out all your vat margin, raises all you invoices and adds finance houses to the invoices. and as soon as everything’s done it will post everything to sage and takes most of your issues away. it also does all your stock book etc.... it’s so good..... i wouldn’t recommend it for less than say 5-6 cars but anything more than that its superb.... they do a demo and trial so worth checking out!
  15. ok worth a try.... ive tried to piss about with it in my Dealer management software today, but the software was not having any of it.... and invoice kept saying the full VAT margin due still. Worth a go guys! keep these ideas flying about.
  16. ok so, i have been speaking to another dealer, and he has been building in a £400 warranty cost to the business on the car to reduce the VAT Margin Liability. is this allowed? Grant
  17. This is absolutely how business is sometimes done in Essex.... we live in a technological world and smart phones rule the roost, adapt or go under in my opinion
  18. Text the guy back and ask if you can have more info! It’s not rocket science! I have WhatsApp on my desktop and I get ALOT of people contacting us via WhatsApp! I have done 3 finance proposals over Facebook marketplace messenger this month alone! im sorry but texting is part of the job nowadays, if you don’t like it then you are going to lose a load of sales.
  19. Check gearbox mount! They look like they are fine but can cause the car to rattle! I just spent £900 on a merc dmfw and clutch! And it turned out to be a £90 job lol
  20. We are on 13 for the month, but two possible deposit refunds..... and also 3 finance declines. So could of been 16 all being well. We are aiming for 20 this month
  21. you are in the wrong industry if you do not no what to do with this SMS and are asking us
  22. 3 more today, nearly 4 but he had more ccj’s than birthdays so just 10 for the month so far. I have about 3 cars left on the forecourt. Looks like I’m Going out of business
  23. I just ordered from promotique. Has come out really nice......
  24. 19 sold in jan, Busiest month to date. 6 already sold this month. Customers going crazy for s lines and m sports in Essex it seems..... how did everyone else do in jan? Any fireworks?
  25. Hi guys - Im looking for a dms and invoicing package and have been looking at a few for the last few months. I have just had an online demo of dragon2000 and auto sales systems both integrated into sage 50- dragon2000 seems much more comprehensive and the app to upload cars etc is brilliant. Also the live feed to advertising platforms seems excellent. Auto sales system is cheaper but it as comprehensive. whats everyone’s thoughts?
