ok, we are looking at timing chain at the minute.... im dropping it down to a local specialist. would the bad injector bring on the engine management light?

hi, thanks for this. i have the exact same car but auto also in stock, and they sound totally different. it sounds absolutely dreadful the one in question in comparison

why would the gearbox be making a noise if the car is static? also the engine really jumps about when you start the car!

hi tradex, rev and 3000 rpm and hold, deep tractor noise, dip clutch, changes noise but to a different pitch..... release clutch, still deep rumbling noise..... mate, it sounds like a flywheel out of shape but its all been changed.....

gents i have a merc e250 estate "manual" 2010 CDI with 130k on it. when it came in, when revving, it sounded like a tractor..... typical dual mass fly wheel noise. noise when you dip the clutch etc etc spoke to about 10 people and all said flywheel which i predicted. £1100 deep and we are still no further along! noisy when revving, even louder if you dip the clutch in and out why holding the revs at 3000 rpm. clutch, flywheel and release bearing all changed, but engine is still shaking its bollox off!!! engine mounts all fine! is there anywhere else i need to be looking??? at a loss.

I’ve just put in a clutch and flywheel on an e250 merc and guess what, £1200 down and mis diagnosed.... oh and the car is still vibrating it’s bollox off lol suck it up and move on.

i am sorry to hear that, for the record, i will not be buying another auto electricians..... all they seem to do is take a wild guess, and charge you £60 for the pleasure of telling you what it could be. and not exactly what it is.

Haha, ive had someone all over mine since Friday. And another guy just came in and I gave him a finance quote on it - Hopefully original guy coming down today to test drive and take the beast away.

Must of had 7-8 calls today, more than the last fortnight put together - first weekend after the school holidays. Only 1 away today but a fair amount of viewings, calls, walk ons etc. Looking forward to the rest of the month if it carries on at this rate
