TV... Behave! This is not of any importance! A good dealership looks after their customers.... not the bottom line
-
We use Astral, they supply us two kinds of TFR - Normal in 200 litres or some tech clean in 20lts that is very strong (for alloys) And we always seem to fall victim to their shite customer base returns!
-
We found that anything from Euro in their QX valeting range is utter pot luck as to its contents! We have had TFR in wash and wax..... Clear water in TFR!
-
It will be easier to find a decent Indie in my experience. Master techs at the dealers now are expected to be able to fix all faults, inc wiring and gearboxes and engine rebuilds. They usually work for the same kind of money.
-
To be fair the BMW should be fixed by a decent Indie? And if they cant or don't want to they should know a decent Sparky? We had a Volvo 3 years ago that tortured us, and we couldn't get our hands on a wiring diagram, so we packed it off to our local Volvo specialist who then directly phoned his sparky and let him use his factory VIDA software that gave him the wiring diagrams.
-
Well the customer started off by requesting that we gave £950 for it!
-
No, 180 mile commute! Can you imagine having 3 hours a day in a i20!
-
Not the highest mileage car ever, but we have just taken a 2012 Hyundai I20 petrol in chop with 195k.

Unless its contaminated with Oil there should never really be any need to replace a DPF. Have you tried the DPF doctor? Their website states there is a branch in Lincoln. Our local branch is ran by a very knowledgeable guy that gives lessons to their other agents/branches.

Hi Mark What year is it? These things need to be looked at by somebody that know what they are doing, we got one that a local Bosch service centre got their hands on and renewed everything, only to need a new valve guide! had a cracked valve guide and a bent valve (ran perfectly too apart from the plumes of blue smoke intermittently). Turbo hoses are very common causing the DPF to keep filling up as quickly as its trying to get emptied!

Drain it before test?

Apparently it’s part of the exam now.... it’s a prerequisite that all mot testers are to be useless on the tools, have a tiny penis, and a huge chip on their shoulder
-
I’ve seen you parking cars up, you will be on till after lunch with those DMFs are mega common and often misdiagnosed as a misfire on these cars.

What happens if I run out of charge on the way to one of your depots?

I'm not an accountant, however i think i know what Dave means. It could show in the annual accounts as lost income/warranty claims, however there would be no real winner. It would only really benefit Dave to see where he may be losing a little income / allocating time.

On my old, autodata it has it down at 5hrs!

If the customer arranged their own inspection by a professional, it takes away the burden of proof should any fault arise that the customer says was present at the time of the sale, or that date moving forward.
-
Well, you could always refund him once hes wasted his money. if its prepped ok, you have nothing to worry about. If hes looking for gold whilst having the money to buy tin...... refund him. Remember you have limited liability once hes accepted the report.

I rang our local Merc (cars) dealer, they wanted to sell me it complete with swirl flap motor for £350 plus the vat, then I rang the local Merc (vans) and got the manifold and all gaskets required for £120 inc vat.
