  1. Morning all Midday today I'm chatting to one of the big accountancy firms about: Furlough – the latest on the government scheme Their thoughts on what commission should be included in furlough schemes What dealers need to have prepared for the portal launching on Monday How to manage cash flow during these difficult times What government grants dealers should be accessing Advice for self employed dealers – and detail on the updated support Responsibilities of directors during this time What car sales the firm has seen its client manage – and how you can do the same Join me here and you can ask your questions live: https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/car-dealer-live-16-uhy-hacker-young/190179
  2. Thanks for your comments. I’ve gone back to the cazoo with them, as well as similar ones from my LinkedIn post, to give them a chance to reply. I’ll let you know what I hear
  3. After pausing deliveries at the start of the coronavirus crisis, Cazoo has now restarted sales and deliveries. Interesting to see a sales business operating in this current situation. Thoughts? https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/online-seller-cazoo-restarts-deliveries-targets-key-workers/190178
  4. Haha thank you! We need to plant them today Thank you!
  5. We'll be talking about research they're conducted in European markets that could give dealers hope here. And chatting to their YouTube star Mat Watson about how dealers can use video now Watch it here: https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/car-dealer-live-15-carwow/190020
  6. Love these - all very helpful. Would be good to hear any more members might have
  7. Nope, what advice you'd like to give to punters before they walk into your office and start negotiating...
  8. So I'd like to write a post on the above. What practical tips would you give to customers when it comes to negotiating - I don't mean don't do it, but what would you advise them. I'd be interested to hear what you'd say. Hit me!
  9. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/car-dealer-live-14-jim-reid-umesh-samani-live-midday-wednesday/189938 Join us at midday for a chat with the founders of the IMDA and two independent car dealers. If you're got any questions for them, post them here or submit live via YouTube during the show. See you then!
  10. @LINGsCARS - this currently looks like you're sharing an advert, which goes against what we allow in the forum. If, as I suspect, you're trying to share your ideas on how you do marketing with others here, perhaps you could give the above some context? It would help explain the post to others. Thanks
  11. What we know so far is in that article I wrote yesterday. We don't know if online sales will be the release for dealers to get back to work - but it certainly has been in the States. Or was it something else definitive needed? Let me know I think Ford of Britain boss Andy Barratt's comments in today's Car Dealer Live were interesting on this - he said when it comes to car sales lockdown should mean lockdown Read it here https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/ford-boss-lockdown-means-lockdown-no-one/189914
  12. Thanks both - I'm glad you enjoyed it. Here's an interesting news line from the interview in case people missed it: Ford boss: When it comes to car sales lockdown means lockdown https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/ford-boss-lockdown-means-lockdown-no-one/189914
  13. Morning all At midday today I'll be chatting to the boss of Ford in Britain - you can watch it here and submit your questions live: https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/car-dealer-live-13-andy-barratt/189808 Enjoy!
  14. I've taken a look at a growing trend in the States, where online car sales have been allowed to continue despite car showrooms remaining closed. Could the same happen here to allow dealers back to work sooner? Here's a Bank Holiday Monday read for you. Let me know what you think it the comments below. https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/online-car-sales-allow-car-dealers-go-back-work/189840
  15. That’s fine. It’s just the forum isn’t supposed to be used to sell to dealers by suppliers. That’s what Car Dealer Magazine and advertising is for. We have to pay for this forum some how and if we let everyone advertise for free - not only would it annoy most users - but we wouldn’t have a business to be able to offer this forum. Hope that makes sense
  16. Same here @John Cook - Aston Lark @Ashley@UKGlobal this forum isn’t for suppliers to tout for business or promote their services. Please refrain from doing so. Forum rules are posted as the first topic on this section. Thanks
  17. @John Cook - Aston Lark This is dangerously close to the non promotion rule. I’ll let this one slide but please adhere to the forum rules for suppliers. Thanks
  18. If there's a mug promise, it must be kept! Haha!
  19. Much better thank you! Working hard on keeping the Car Dealer brand alive
