vat ? have a drive over during day, see the parking, industrial estates are notorious for being blocked in . have a drive over during night, see the security, or lack of it. contact the previous owners, find out why they moved out [ flame heating? claudius ash ? ] maybe security related, maybe bad landlord. find out who the meter/s belong to, landlords meters add there % view in rain, see if it leaky. basically, just if you were buying a house

Many year ago i was asked if the cassette worked in the radio cassette, ive no idea i replied, he got a cassette from his own car, placed it in mine, and it promptly attacked it, he pressed eject and pulled out 3 foot of tape Very recently a chap walked round one and tapped each panel listening for filler ! and to top it off he pulled drivers door up n down checking for play in hinge ! havent seen that for years ! shitter dealer {under£1k] average 25 cars near me threw the towel in other day, good! why ? misdescribed cars, saying full mot when in actual check its been out months, advertised mileages dont correspond to mot history, drives round with a trade plate thrown in front window, lets punters test drive cars alone, made up reviews, just mobile numbers, people arent daft and i hope he doesnt pop up again . -

copper in wiring looms ? few years time any amount of gremlins ? A bit back same thing with copper cable, poor quality, not enough copper in the wire, [ copper has a higher melt point] thousands of houses, schools, hospitals, wired with this stuff, there is no law that electricians have to record where they purchased and where they fitted a particular cable, one of the big diy chains kept selling it long after they were warned. google atlas kablo and homebase

SORRY FOR MENTIONING XMAS -

had a interesting conversation with a chap the other day, showed interest in one of my cars, he asked if the cars up the road [ parked in a layby] were also mine ? i jumped straight on this and told him in no uncertain terms they werent ! explained and pointed to my garage thats where you go when youve got a problem, and thats where you go for service, not some layby ! he said he understood, but there again i havent seen him since ? i dont mind telling people i have overheads, i dont mind telling people its a vehicle thats had a proper pdi , and theres somewhere to come back to for service, if they dont listen as to why i am dearer than "the layby" then i disregard them and carry on, if i have to pay more for my cars [which substantially i am] then the asking price has got to rise, have faith in your product and your service and you will pay the rent -

Customer reporting problems outside warranty?
have a word with the wife replied to Christian's topic in General Dealer Chat
JIMBO ANY warranty is in addition to a consumers rights, it doesnt replace them. a full pdi and fresh mot on EVERY car sold, the pdi sheet to be shown to consumer and signed that he/she read it. consumers must test drive / driven in car before sale. a substantial sales invoice should be produced [ forget sold as seen trade sale etc] and signed. what if a clutch goes after 2 months for example? then you go back to the pdi and sales invoice and test drive ! PDI = the clutch was consistent with a * year old ***** mileage car! [signed for] ON the test drive the clutch showed no faults [ signed for] on the sales invoice no faults were brought to your attention [ signed for ] ! I UNDERSTAND I AM PURCHASING A USED CAR THAT MAY HAVE FAULTS CONSISTENT WITH A USED ITEM ! -
They were available on ebay, not sure if they still do that, maybe a few quid dearer than joining, have a search genuine lawgistics, not copies .

cant find the link but a major salvage dealer pulled out 100 cat d vehicles from there compound in a trial, reinspecting them with regard to looking at the new salvage codes and found that 70% of cat d would be "s" and reported to insurance companies there findings before this new legislation, the salvage company quite rightly said to these companies they cant quote values on cat s [ obviously not as much as cat d ] the market will value it itself in the coming months, it was a warning
