world cup and heat wave trade - dead?
MSP Motors replied to Grantlfc81's topic in General Dealer Chat
Agreed. Let's leave the EU so we honour the will of the people. Let's stay in the single market tho eh? Oh that's right it's a total cluster fuck that won't be resolved for a generation. And as for this idea that the EU needs us more than we need them...... Delusions of grandeur comes to mind.... -
You didn't think to refund him? The customer is an innocent victim in this atrocious act you are untaking, after all!
-
Am I missing something? Work is being carried out of customers car. It has been completed, but now there seems like there is a small issue with a coolant/washer jet leak. People are seriously suggesting a full refund? Often jobs over run, problems arise. As long as the car is fixed and the customer is updated carry on and get the car fixed. I don't anticipate this taking very long to resolve. If everyone was refunding used cars because of a small issue like this, the used car market would be even more of a mess. You guys must be buying cars back weekly.
-
What is this nonsense? Get to the bottom of the issue, sort it and return the car. Give the customer his money back? Honestly.....

The FCA licence isn't hard to obtain, granted the form might be longish to fill out, from what I can remember.

no vat to be paid on commission either....

Best background colour for exterior photo's ?

The indoor Picture looks much sharper. -
Yea that was brutal. I signed up for a ccl just before they changed to FCA. Luckily I got a rebate. I'm fairly confident you will have to be VAT registered though to setup with finance companies, possibly even the FCA.

Close are prime. Blue do a soft search on the customers, so you can see what tier a customer is when you submit the customer details. 1-10 is there scale. 1-3 is prime and then it goes down accordingly. I have had a tier 9 paid out from blue. Very good company. I have sold 3 cars this month, all finance. 1 blue, 2 first response. I don't always get finance deals, some months it's very lean, but finance is a must. The FCA setup is fairly straightforward. It's crazy not to offer finance, I can see no benefit of not offering that facility.

I just sold a mercedes Today with blue. £10,000 advance paid me £950 commission. They pay commission at the same time as the advance so no waiting about. Absolute piss easy to use their backend and is light years ahead of close in my opinion. The only Downside is that they only go to 10 years at the end of the term, so anything else prime goes to close. But I can't fault blue at all.

So how much on average do you spend on Photoshop per car? -
Just sold one this morning from motors...... 3 for the month, although my bill is £132....... looks like you got better bargaining skills than I Nick!

How can a tester take your keys, what will the thousands of purely MOT stations do that solely just MOT?
-
Its all on what type of customer you have. I have it worded on my invoice that in the event of a CRA claim, it is the customers responsibility to return the vehicle. They have to sign and date it. However, the guy I work with has nothing. He just had a suspected engine blow and had made the customer return the car at the customers expense. Paperwork helps with the big picture, but if you have a screamer, they will be a screamer regardless of paperwork. Even if you have the greatest paperwork in history of car sales.... If you get the wrong judge at court..... All the paperwork in the world won't help. If this was me, I'd be asking for a garage report or for them to bring the car back so I could inspect the car.

If they are way up the corporate ladder as a few of my friends are, I very much doubt they swap anything to be in my position. A friend of mine has a take home of 10,000 a month, can 'work' from home as much as he likes, gets flown around the world constantly and looks at me with a huge amount of pity. He is the pick of the bunch, but if I had my time again...... I'd have tried harder at school!
-
Maybe.... Or maybe because there was a lot of nonsense being spread.
-
I skimmed over this and WOW. The way I see it..... The car needs paint, mark Don't wanna paint it...... no big deal, he's clearly stated the car has paint defects. I'm not sure what all the rest of this noise is. I don't know how the hell trading standards have been brought in to this and how have pages have been written about faults, trading standards and all this other breeze?

I sold 9 in the holidays stocking 15 and the majority of overaged stock, which means not the greatest profit margins

I have had this feature turned on for years now, helps track the calls from ebay, to be honest, I just use this as my landline on my website now.
-
I agree, I just can not get my head around paying x10 for a product that I am not getting amazing results for. I sold 4 cars over the weekend 3 from motors and 1 from ebay. The 3 from motors had not been reduced as I had not got round to this, so ended up having £2000 more than had I sold on AutoTrader. the fact is I think the product they have is not x10 better than motors/ebay, nor does it give me anything like a x10 return.......so why do I pay. We shall see, I will see what its like over 3 months, if I generate no sales I guess I can always reinstate my account.......

I served my notice on these guys today. I know the discussion has been had to death on these forums, however, they charge 10 times their competitors and I don't feel like I am getting value for money. Maybe I will regret it, But I won't know until I try. They have changed so many features for the worst and I have had it. ebay/motors/facebook/cargurus for me

i have 4 cheap laptops and i have ista, diagbox, vagcom, Renault clip, Vauxhall, ids, star and my favourite.....autocom which i use most. In my experience I find it a lot easier to have the right tools for the job. I even had to lend my £100 laptop to my garage the other day as they could not program injectors on a transit connect with the snap on tool they have.

Another negative review, whats your take on this
MSP Motors replied to Autolink100's topic in General Dealer Chat
I can not be swayed on this......... Reviews are disgusting, same as social media. Its unfair and unjust. The general public is horrendous and entitled. Having said that, they do matter now, even though they can be incredibly unfair. Best thing to do is reply to the comment, explaining what happened, then get all your friends and family to post good reviews. Its so ridiculous that it comes down to this, but the human race is becoming repugnant....... -
Admin fees are allowed, you just can't target one means of payment.....ie charge for a credit card.
